Apparently Sen. Jim Bunning of Kentucky has threaten the Senate Republican leadership that if they don't back off and stop trying to stop him from seeking reelection in 2010 he will resign. Now how does that hurt the Republicans you say? Well if Sen. Bnnning resigns that means that Gov. Steve Beshear will appoint a new Senator to replace him until 2010 and Beshear just happens to be a Democrat.
Republicans are saying that this story isn't true and Bunning said no such things however this is the same guy who not to long ago said publicly Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will die within nine months because she is being treated for pancreatic cancer. So there is a good chance this is true but the odds of this happen I think are slim unless the Republicans have become even more stupider then anyone could ever imagine.
