He seems to appreciate the fact that billboards are up for it in Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows

Awesome, advertising a DC owned product in a Marvel game  (does make sense seeing the Marvel Universe obviously wouldn't have Marvel Comics)

(the date is 5/3/09 due to the fact I am in Australia and we put the day and the month the correct way around  )

Probably. He's enough of a sci-fi geek.

I do wonder how stuff like Watchmen would be seen in a superhero universe. Would it be the equivalent of a military drama here?

Ummm does this mean you paid less for the game?

The Watchmen story dont deserves to be labeled to any company. Thats how good the story is.

Dont know about the Watchmen game though, from what i have seen of that game it doesnt look really that good IMO.

Watchmen would basically be some sort of odd science-fiction story, a world with only one super-powered being and a handful of costumed vigilantes with no powers would look pretty weird to a resident of the MU.

Or in a world full of superheroes, a superhero film would be the equivalent of a movie about a cop or a lawyer. Interesting, but not special in and of itself.

Yes, but Watchmen, with it's limited number of super-heroes in that world would be like a movie set in a world where there are only six or so cops in the world

I'm sure Spidey would feel the need to make a quip concerning Dr Manhattan's lack of pants. Or maybe he's just a fictional character, and has no opinions other than those given to him by his God-like writers.

Watchmen is likely not showing in the MU, as it's a movie based on a DC product.

I actually think that Batman and Superman at least exists as fictional characters in the MU, I'm pretty sure I've seen references to both of them a couple of times

My bet is if they refer to the movie at all, it will have it's title changed to something like "The Watchers."

The funny thing is that Watchmen actually only exists as fiction in the DCU multiverse since it was referenced in the late-80s Question series where The Question decided to try and emulate Rorschach after finding a copy of the Watchmen book.

I don't know a blessed thing about the Watchmen, but I would love to see them crossover with Spider-Man.

Lmao!

That was priceless!

Of Course Pete is going to see the Watchmen, hopefully he will be able to watch it in peace without his "Spider-sense" going off, but hey you know how that goes poor old Peter Parker rarely gets a damn break!
