I have notice patterns in some of the lanterns.

The Green Lanterns have a sentient virus and location lantern.

The Sinestro Lanterns have a sentient virus and location.

Will other lanterns have similar lanterns? Will there be a red rage virus? (Can you where this came from?) Will there be a sentient moon or sun lantern (Either one might make a partner with Mogo, the Sentient Planet Green Lantern if they were a Blue Lantern).

Thoughts? Have you see any other pattern I have missed?

Well, Green Lanterns have a "dog" in Gnortt.
The Yellow Lanterns have a dog as well.
The Red of course, have "Rage Kitty".

Rage Kitty goes om nom nom on your Anger... and I'm over that now, I'm sure that each corps will find a varied number of different aliens as members. The chances for more giantic members like Mogo or Ranx. The chances for more microscopic members on the other hand are higher in my opinion.

Yes, and this might explain where it came from and why they all glowed red...

I also had the thought if a virus is just non-animate proteins, what about sentient hormone?

Like the Red Lantern

Testros, the Living (Ste)roid Rage!

Dopam (for Dopamine), the Violet Lantern

It's not really as much a "crazy alien lantern member" pattern ... but I've been enjoying the variety of headquarters the different color Corps have had.

Oa. Qward. Zamaron. Ysmault. Odym. Okaara.

One's a fortress that's like a fortified police station, a fortress that's like ruins filled with slaves and tyranny, one's like a scientific love laboratory, we get a bloody hellscape, a literal Eden planet, a tangled, savage jungle people with greed-mongering warlords. The worlds reflect the emotions well, for instance starting in the middle with Green and going right - from a Haven to a Paradise to what will presumably be a Hippie Commune to an Ecstasy Trip.

Or from Green left ... going from a Haven to a Stronghold to a Savage Land to a Hell. If you look at the cycle, that puts Hell right next to Ecstasy Trip as far as emotional clouding goes ...

Anyway, I'm eager to see Okaara and the rest of the Vega System's roles (there's SO much DCU cosmic stuff there ... Starfire's people ... the Spider Guild ... the Citadel ... the Omega Men ...)

But I'm also eager to see what kind of HQ's the Indigos and Black Lanterns have. And the Black Lanterns sure do have an HQ, even if they're culled from the graves of a million planets, wherever Anti-Monitor landed and was imprisoned is home. Rumors are that it's somewhere in Sector 666. Makes sense. But really ... apart from knowing that the Five Inversions who are the basis for the Red Lanterns are the sole survivors of the Manhunter massacre there ... we know ZILCH about the place.

We know it was the universal centre of space magic which the Guardians ordered massacred after their first attempt at a Green Lantern battery aka The Starheart, could not be controlled. They saw magic as unstable and beyond understanding, so they killed those who had the ability to use it and understand it because of the Guardians conceited attitude of "if we can't play with their toys, they can't either".

No doubt that bigotry and fear of what they couldn't comprehend opened the door for Parallax, the yellow impurity, to seed in their ultimate creation, the GL CPB. They had nothing to fear until they felt fear and by extension created it as their weakness via ignorance and in turn their followers' weakness.

I do remember that now that you say it.

The zombie Black Lanterns, a power source as powerful as the Anti-Monitor, Hal Jordan admitting that he never did care much about just how Black Hand's powers work, and the center of cosmic magic ... plus Ash and Saarek being the ones hunting and the future involvement of Alan Scott, Torquemada and Mordru, plus how Scar is using blood-letting as a means for dark prophecies (which Atrocitus is mimicking, in a rudimentary way) ... means Black Magic is getting a comeback in 2009.

It all feels very voodoo.

Interesting patterns, and he's another...

I think the writers might keep the negative corps due to their emotion could be linked with three powerful groups cops are often after (even light powered space cops)

Red Lanterns--Rage--Serial Killers
Orange Lanterns--Greed--Organized Crime
Yellow Lanterns--Fear--Terrorists

Thoughts?

Accurate, especially when you look at the other four.

Green Lanterns-Courage/Willpower-Cops
Blue Lanterns-Hope-I'm washy in the Blues ... in some regards they behave almost like firefighters - preventing a supernova, putting out the fire of Red Rage, but on the other side of things, they support and boost the ability of the cops.
Indigo Lanterns-Compassion-Possibly Medics, almost like the Blue Cross, or maybe like paramedics.
Violet Lanterns-Love-They give off an artist vibe, to some extent. Artists. But they also give off a bit of a religion vibe, since they're trying to convert people forcefully. They're a lot like Red though, in that their crimes will be "crimes of passion".

If somebody could simplify, that'd be awesome. The Red/Orange/Yellow corps do seem really simple though. Terrorists use fear. Organized Crime is all about greed, and Hatred and Rage is outright killers (although you could definitely lump "hate crimes" into Red too for motivation.

Rage Kitty was kind of pushed off by Saint Walker and Warth last issue, in his one-panel cameo. I'm sure it's not the last we've seen of the feral feline of ferocious fatalistic fanatacism.

Blue Lanterns--Hope--Damn Hippies!

Wait a minute ...

Blue Lanterns - Obama generation hopeful but still helping out hippies ...
Indigo Lanterns - 60's pacifist "screw it man, acid rocks" tye-dye hippies ...
Violet Lanterns - Pinko commies ...
