Here's a sketch I did for a Thundarr pitch back awhile back. I'll post more later

I see TONS of redesigns on these characters, do you ever think they will make a comeback?

If they ever need to do a copyright renewal or something. But unless they can figure out a way to turn it into a Japanese collectible card game, methinks not.
And really, it's jumping back a step or two too far on the nostalgia trail.
Cool sketches, though.

I agree, I think Thundarr's window of opportunity has passed.
Cool sketches, though.
Also agree- VERY cool.

For a second, I thought this was about the band...
Really nice sketches, though.

Fun stuff! I remember digging the show when I was a kid, because it was like Conan with a lightsaber and a wookiee sidekick. I think it might do OK with a "Space Ghost" style mini-series or something (from one of the smaller publishers), but yeah...might be kind of a limited audience.

Nice work Mike, as always.
I disagree that it's past it's time for revival. There are a lot of fans with fond memories of Thundaar. It's still being shown on Boomerang.. And it has a great premise thanks to the Kirby/Gerber collaboration on the show.

Mike- that is amazing.
I think there is always a chance for a revamp of the show or even a Feature length Movie.
I think if they did it right it would be a fun for any one to enjoy, Young and old. I would love to see a version done and taken seriously.
As a Comic? Well, that is sketchy. I have been out of comics for about 4 years now, (even though I still collect Original comic pages) and I feel a new book like this would be a hard sell. The economy is just down in the drain and its hard to have that extra cash for items like this.
By the way, have done any drawing of OoKla's Steed? I always thought it looked cool.

Great work, Mike. A style that could easily fit some existing characters, say in the MU.
