I turn my xbox on to download a tv show, and right in front of my face i see capcom has a trailer for a secret new game!
And some dude pops up on my screen, giving the biggest build up ever, says its a sequel fans have been waiting a long time for.
And i'm thinking "Oh man, what could it be? A new Strider??!?!?! Mega Man X??!?!! UN SQUADRON!!!!!!"
Lost Planet 2.
Thanks capcom.

A sequel to UN squadron would be a life changer.

Lost Planet kicked ass. What's the problem?

A sequel to UN squadron would be highly unnecessary. Bullets that damage you more than missiles or energy projectiles? F*ck The What?!

(Yes, I'm still smarming 18 years after the game was released)

Mostly the secrecy and "build up" prior to revealing what it actually was. I don't think many people weren't expecting a sequel to Lost Planet. In fact wasn't it all-but-announced shortly after the first one dropped?

"A sequel to a game you haven't heard about in a while" does sound like it would/should be something older....

Strider would totally kick arse....

They made a new 1942 last year. I would love a new UN Squadron to hit live or PSN.

Lost planet was mediocre at best really. Pretty sterile game that was repetitive, characters I didnt really care about and the same backdrop over and over and over again.

A sequel is not something I personally would be interested in, others things Id rather spend my money on.

With all the different game modes in there?

and the same backdrop over and over and over again.

Snowy mountains, deserts, caverns, cities, space stations, etc...

There was plenty of variety, you just had to play more than 1 level of the campaign to see it.

That.
I didn't care for lost planet, but no one was going to be surprised they made a sequel.
