This story was on the front page of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette today:

Shelly Koontz of Independence, Iowa, who was jailed when she failed to return a missing library book, has agreed to pay $13.95, the cost of The Freedom Writers Diary, and about $50 in court costs and to return the book in exchange for having the fifth-degree theft charge against her dropped.

If only that happened to all of the douchebags who refuse to return library books just so they can keep "immoral" titles off the shelves. I could get behind that.
