I am new to the forums and am looking for new or older comics to read. I am mainly into horror and comedy and zombies and such. examples:
Scream Queen
The Walking Dead
Anita Blake
Friday the 13th
Evil Dead
and so on and so forth. Any suggestions or advice for comics would be much appreciated. Thanx.

I am having Deja Vu... I could have sworn I just replied to this exact same post in the DC Comics Imprint forum. Damn Denzel Washington movies.

I hate to recommend my own book, but, hell, I'm up way late and can't sleep so: HACK/SLASH. If you liked Scream Queen, you'll like H/S.

If you like your horror and humor on the same steaming plate try my funnybook Golly from Image. Golly's a carnival ride repairman who fights werehogs, obese goth vampires, and succubi all over the south and midwest. Southern fried horror and comedy. It has a lot of swearing. We're up to #4.
The need for new readers precludes my modesty. Go get it!

You did. At least, the same post appears there ... but it's far more at home here or in the Indies forum.

Anyway, yeah -- Tim's Hack/Slash, definitely.
Others (all minis that are over & done with) fitting the horror/comedy bill very nicely, IMHO --
XXXombies (Image)
Odd Squad (DDP)
Living with the Dead (Dark Horse)
I'm sure others can come up with lots more, & ordinarily I could, too, but I'm (a) supposed to be getting some work down & (b) apparently about to succumb to some sort of damned sinus attack ...

Strange Embrace - More character driven, Victorian era horror. A HUGE fav of mine.
Screamland - If you're a fan of the ol' monster flicks (Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, etc, you'll love this. Also hilarious. You don't wanna pass this up.
Golly - Just great fun.
Space Crawl Xxxombies - Disgusting zombie story about a porn crew who encounter zombies. So disgusting that you have to buy it.

Good call on Screamland, Greg. Ditto with Strange Embrace, though for whatever reason I was pretty much sticking to comedic stuff in my previous post.
Some non-comedic (well, the last 2 have their moments ...) Vertigo minis I can highly recommend -- Mnemovore & the 2 Midnight, Mass. series.
And while I'm not a fan of Golly, Phil's The Atheist is excellent. (Will the 2nd mini ever resume?)
