In your opinion, what are the kind of comic books that Marvel is still lacking currently?
My personal choice: Speedster comic.

The Magical side of the Marvel universe is pretty weak, all I can think of is Dr. Strange, Brother Voodoo, Scarlet Witch (does she even count), the Hood and sister Grimm.
and I wouldn't count gravity as a teenager.

Other. Cosmic stories that don't involve Earth have been mostly ignored until very recently.

Captain Britain & MI:13 is all about the magical side, if you're interested. Very well done too.
Umm....these aren't 'themes' they are genres.

Its all about history man.
I'd love to see the adventures of Namor back during WWII or prior.

i dont think 'speedster' qualifies as a genre. i wish there would be more fantasy type and war stories in marvel.

I would like them to do a book on the old TImely characters. I don't know all in Marvels in Time or something and do an anthology book with Fury, Steve Rogers, Namor, Invaders etc. All the characters that were around pre the Fantastic Four in their own time.

Still, "genres" fits better. I'll change the thread title.

Speedster, Adventure, Superheroine, and Teen Hero aren't really genres in and of themselves, and the other stuff features in Marvel books as a matter of course.
Marvel don't really have an analogue for The Flash, most titles have some form of adventure at some point, there are plenty of superheroines, and Runaways has teen heroes, as does the Ultimate line of books (the F4, UXM and Ultimate Spidey are all teens), Young Avengers, and Spider-Girl has had a good run, magic is in Spidey, Runaways, Captain Britain and MI:13, the epic stuff gets an airing in Annihilation/War Of Kings/Nova...
If anything, I think teen heroes are a bust - how many times has a superhero team featuring a team of teenage heroes (usually talking like they're in their thirties, based in/from New York, and making misanthropic cultural references nonstop) tanked now? We've just seen New Warriors cancelled for the third time, so it's maybe time to let that one rest, I think.
Some genres/themes just aren't interesting to a mass-market audience, so maybe that's why Marvel avoid developing books centering on a certain premise?

id like more detective/mystery stuff.
more sci-fi too...with Nova GotG and now War of Kings that should hopefully help out for more stories

An ongoing Dr.Strange title with new magical-type characters would be pretty cool. Apart from that, I'm pretty pleased with the marvel universe right now. Mostly.

Well they are redeveloping some of the Timely characters over in the Twelve. If Marvel was to do any kind of historical anthology book I'd use the First Line from Byrne's Lost generation. He introduced almost an entire universe of characters which could be explored, and still need to be integrated into the Marvel Universe proper.
I'd say pretty much all of the above. Marvel doesn't seem to be interested in anything but superhero comics right now, so even characters that would function better in other genres tend to be drawn into the whole superhero world of stories. Shang Chi (MA/espionage), Dr. Strange (occult), Dracula (supernatural), etc - all appear in superhero books if they appear at all.

Well, there's the Twelve, if it ever comes out again.

It kills me how most are listing different types of superhero comics, not genres. Obviously, Marvel lacks any sort of epic fantasy/sword and sorcery (Conan) or pure sci-fi comics. Crime, war and western as well, but those genres haven't been popular in comics for decades.

Somewhere in storage I still have my Rise of the Midnight Sons poster. I really miss books like Darkhold and Nightstalkers.

War Stories, DC has putt out some good ones lately, Marvel could try to compete even thought DC was always far better at them.
The new Haunted Tank and Easy Company stuff is great.

Again, I'd really like to see a strong, competent female heroine with her own rogues gallery, her own supporting cast, and her own themes in an ongoing storyline. We had that with Spider-Girl, but now that title is getting the axe.
That's what I'm hoping for, at least in part, from the upcoming Black Panther and Spider-Woman series. I'm of two minds about Ms. Marvel, as I despite anything and everything to do with the Initiative and the SHRA, and it doesn't look like Sleepwalker will be appearing much if Moonstone takes over Carol's identity.
I didn't get the Ms. Marvel storyline featuring Sleepwalker and Machine Man, as the whole idea just reeked of Women in Refrigerators, and the cover with Carol and Tigra in a cat-fight was a major turnoff. I want to see female heroes and villains give and take their lumps with the best of their male counterparts, not get their outfits shredded and their hair pulled.

They could use something like Conan, and some more horror stuff, besides just Ghostrider and whatever.

Marvel is definitely missing like a family book. Like a comic book dedicated towards a super powered family. Fantastic Four is closest but than you have the thing, and Johnny and Sue doesn't really interact too much anyway so. So I choose other.

imo, Marvel needs an answer to the huge popularity of shoujo manga.

The Mary Jane books were shoujo in style, had higher production values than 'real' manga, better proofing, better editing and more natural dialogue - yet didn't do spectacularly well.
Marvel also already do a 'superhero family' book with the all-ages Power Pack range. I'm pretty sure the characters are off-limits, but a 616 version would be pointless as it would be just another teen book, and they already have Runaways and Young Avengers.
We get the odd Marvel war story, too - usually from Garth Ennis, who does the more memorable DC efforts. Fury was good, as is the occasional foray into flashback for the Punisher (Born).
I don't think Marvel neglects any particular genre deliberately - something in particular may become less 'fashionable', but most bases are usually covered if you look through their catalogue of available material.

Marvel definitely needs to create some straight out horror comics. They have some grossly undereutilised horror characters that could use a major makeover, Vertigo-style. Most of their efforts in the past have been more superhero oriented with horror elements.
An occult event similar in style to Annihilation could really give Marvel's occult characters a boost. It worked well for their cosmic characters.

I voted for Magic (Dr. Strange), but I'd also be interested in a Namor (epic) if done well.

an AMERICAN EAGLE title hands down. The most underused character around. He has a lot of potential too.

Huh? runaway's and young avengers are a teen book, not a familyesque book, neither is powerpack. When I'm talking about a familyesque book, I'm referring to the book like dynamo 7 from image, which is about a group of 5 siblings who are super powered and attempts to save the day. That's a family book lol.

Lol, kinda, just not so depressing. But again, that's an old series, I'm talking about something running currently.

They could do something similar to Brub's Cap run by mixing the past and present. Of course he is using Namor there already :)

Speedsters and Detectives desperately. At least "Magic" heroes still serve support characters still.

Theater of War? Expand it to more than just Captain America? I think that'll be cool.

Yup. In fact when Planet Skaar is over, it'd be quite fun to have Skaar face Arkon (particularly since Thundra is part of the extended Hulk family now, and Thundra and Arkon used to be married didn't they?).
