Thank you CBR!

Great BP cartoon news---T'Challa is voiced by Djimon Hounsou, and the panel announced that Kerry Washington, Alfree Woodard and Panther co-creator Stan Lee would also be providing voice talent for the show. "We had a great time doing our first recording session," said Cowan, who commended Hounsou's powerful presence and Lee's reputed exuberance

Side note: Deny was there..niceeeeee. If anyone were to do fill in art for the title I would hope it would be him.

Awesome...Now I wish I would have blackberried someone who attended to grab me one of those variants.

Oh well, I guess ill hit up ebay 4 one.

Well I'm definitely happy that BP is finally coming into a cartoon, I just wish it wasn't on BET. It just pigeonholes the idea that BP and others are characters for black people. I'd just wish other networks could've possibly gave this cartoon a chance.

NYCC 2008 (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=23136) - "The biggest news for BET was about the newly announced prime-time Black Panther animated series...The eight-episode series is currently scheduled to debut in October 2008."

SDCC 2008 (http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0807/26/blackpanther.htm) - "The series will premiere in February [2009]."

NYCC 2009 (http://comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=20065) - "From the arrival of a new female lead in the pages of the "Black Panther" title to the animated series set to hit primetime on BET this summer,"

On the plus side, at least they've cast the voice talent now. On the downside, the fact that the animation from the first episode is still only in the rough stage doesn't sound like a great omen.

I'm glad the voice cast is set and it looks to be a good one. My main concern is with this total love fest in regards to Hudlin and Black Panther.

Hudlin's BP run hasn't been any near as good as Priest's. And with this new development, I'm insulted. You mean to tell me that T'Challa can't at least find a way out of a Doom set-up? Since when?

I understand the need for an active Black Panther, but I can tell you now, based on that first issue, Hudlin better have something monumental up his sleeve and damn good because so far all he's done is throw all the work Priest did under the bus...
