I'll check this apparently "one-shot" out. I hope Waid didn't half-a$$ it, just so this Spanish sensation can showcase his art.

The $3.99 price tag means I'll be skipping it.

I might get this. Batman in Spain sounds fun.
I hope it has transsexual prostitutes like an Almodóvar film.

If this is anywhere near as good as Waid's Spider-Man stuff has been, it'll definitely be worth a look.

I can't recall Mark Waid ever writing Batman before (other than recent Brave & Bold team-ups). Am I forgetting something?

Waid's JLA run featured Batman prominently.

True, but I'm thinking solo stories. Can't think of any offhand.

As a big Waid fan, I'll almost definitely be getting this. That preview art looks terrific too.

A 48 page one shot for the price of what Marvel is charging for a 22 page book sounds like a good deal.

The $3.99 price tag means I'll be skipping it.pretty much every Batman related book that's been solicited is 2.99, I think I can live with one being 3.99

Mark waid interview
Just as a heads up, Waid kind of spoils some stuff in the very first paragraph.
I'm not really a Waid fan, but I'd think that regular Batman and Waid fans would probably be into it.

According to the interview, this story is set outside present continuity.

^ "a little bit of Michael Lark, a little bit of Mazuchelli"...
Mark nailed it perfectly
the opening paragraphs of that interview kinda made me frown, it's a lame premise, however towards the end i was thinking yeah i probably will grab the first couple issues. the bit about his international batcaves and being out of his element in foreign cities i like. plus I always thought Croc is a guy who needs more love
I'm a bit confused.
Is this a 1 Shot story? Or a new mini/maxi-series to take the place of Gotham After Midnight?
If it's a One Shot, it looks amazing and I'll definitely be picking it up.
If it's more than three issues though, I'll probably pass. My wallet's not up for another monthly $3.99 price tag just yet.

Since im dont have any interest in BFTC stuff i will check this out.
It sounds interesting and dont require reading knowledge of the recent Batman events.
Im a bit excited about Batman being a freak like Croc in Barcelona where they dont know him like people do in Gotham.
That plus an artist that might be "a little bit of Michael Lark, a little bit of Mazuchelli"... is sure something to check out if its true.
