Just something incredible about someone who's got that much talent, and is still a nice person. So many who reach that sort of level of talent... tend to get an ego about themselves!! No such thing with Nicola. A genuinely nice sort!

Did I mention she's talented as all get out?

I like that it's the figure of a real woman! No exaggerated boobs and teeny-tiny waist. Just a strong, fit, beautiful woman!

How about a two-issue trade-off? Nicola can do Wonder Woman, and Lopresti can draw Secret Six. I would love to see Aaron's take on that team... especially Floyd!

I don't think Aaron would draw the Secret Six. He's a wonderful man, and a tremendous artist (one of the best I've worked with), but he's a good family man and the sex and violence in Secret Six is not the kind of stuff he wants to draw, I believe.

Truthfully, damn few artists in mainstream comics would be able to do the Six as effectively as Nicola, even putting ASIDE how fantastically talented she is. Nic is totally able to get to those dark places...nine times out of ten, the pages come back even filthier and more horrible than I'd imagined.

Nicola is a danger. I just adore her.

HOWEVER.

Those of you who quite correctly have seen that Nicola is going to be one of THE great WW artists someday will get to see her work on the character VERY SOON.

I don't think Aaron would draw the Secret Six. He's a wonderful man, and a tremendous artist (one of the best I've worked with), but he's a good family man and the sex and violence in Secret Six is not the kind of stuff he wants to draw, I believe.

There is also the fact that Mr. Lopresti's art (with a fair amount of help from the colorist) has a mythic, dream like quality to it. It just gives me the feeling of old woodcarvings or for some reason has a sense of telling tall tales around the campfire. I can't put my finger on it, but that is the feeling I get when I look at the art.

This is perfect for Wonder Woman...I love it! But it would be completely wasted in the Secret Six.
