Let's hear it for Rahne. For years she's been one of the most interesting characters in the X universe. Over the years she's been brainwashed, ate her father , and very nearly committed statutory rape. All the while rocking out the New Mutants, Excaliber, X Factor, and X Force. Her complex emotions and issues constantly make her a must read and I'm glad she's so prominent in the XU

I don't see what the big fuss is about Rahne and Josh. If you moved that 4 year gap into a high school scenario, it would be just a freshman(Josh) dating a senior(rahne.) The only fault made was that Rahne was working at his school and not a student. So her action weren't justifiable IMO.

I certainly don't think the age gap is a big thing. People mature differently and three years isn't a long time anyway if he was 19 and she was 22 no one would mention it. I'd be more concerned that she was gonna get really excited and rip my arm off during " funtime"

i agree with that but it just seemed kinda weird that rahne of all people would be dating a sophomore.... theres a difference between 10 and 16 if someone was 15 dating a 12 year old it would be kinda weird......or a 16 year old dating a 13 year old.... but its over....thank god to me it was just funny thinking about that situation, my buddy used to date a senior in h.s. and we gave him sh!t for it so yeah...anyway

thoughts on which transitional phase you guys liked?

I wonder if she'll play a role in X-Factor again
seeing from solicits that Madrox is with a mysterious woman
and Rahne left to avoid killing Madrox and Layla (not saying the woman is Layla, but who knows...)

I still hold out hope that the Rahne who got with Josh was a Skrull.

I mean, that Rahne was catholic, not presbyterian ( "Catholics are the devils spawn" -Rahne), had an "inner wolf" (Rahne has no wolf instincts, that is why the codename. It is all learned skills) etc. Not to mention that the depowered Rahne made sense as a replacement target.

Meh, I liked it when Rahne came back. The scene where she, depowered, kicks Avalanche's ass was amazing. I loved the way that Nunzio and Christina wrote her, honestly, and I really don't see why people made such a fuss over she and Josh sharing one or two kisses. If you go back and read the issues, Rahne ends it before anything further can happen and she does so before anyone like Dani chastises her about it. She's a big girl. She knows what's up.

I remember Kyle and/or Yost saying they had a Wolfsbane storyline coming up at some point. Probly won't be til after Messiah War though. They write her well, but I'd like them to stop doing bad things to her.

I would be thrilled if that happened. IMO the New Mutants were one of best most well rounded teams I had ever read. Itd be great to get her back with them

This is so. They haven't been real close of late however, so the bond/link might not be so strong anymore. Would be nice if someone brought it up again, I quite liked the idea of it.

I really want Rahne's story to pick up. She's kinda always been in the background of X-Force. Wolverine wouldnt let her be on the actual team, so she messed around on her own. Then she had the whole, kill her dad/eat warren/go crazy bit, but ever since then she's only had like, 2 pages of panel time per issue. I want her story to pick up!

I'm right with you. I like how C&C are handeling her character so far, but I want her to DO SOMETHING.
