Green Lantern Corps #21,22

So i recently traded Justice League Of America #0-24 +10 variant cover for GLC#21,22,GL : Power Of Ion and Fables Vol.8 Wolves.

My question is: can i read GLC #21,22 even if i have yet to read GL#26-28 and the Sinestro Corps War? Or should i wait till i read them?

#21 and #22 is that fill in story by sterling gates, it was a lot of fun, nothing great to be honest.

No major spoilers for the sinestro corps war in this other than Boodikka has changed from being a green lantern to an alpha lantern.

Anywho, back on topic, i read online about the issue, and i think i should wait till after SCW, since it about the Alpha Lanterns.
