Nightcrawler should have been depowered on M-Day. This is a pretty inglorious way to go out. But like I said, he should take up the mantle of the New Daredevil.

2) Has been everything to the X-men - Cable (friend, foe, savior, destroyer)

New Mutants yes!

i am hoping Christ Claremont is writing something else. The fact that he's invited to this X-Event worries me.

as for the new x-men joining...

one who hasn't been an X-Man....Firestar? Typhoid Mary? She'd rock out X-Force.

Jean could be the one who means everything to everyone...yes.

Wow....after that New X-Men question...the only response was Hellion for an issue?

Anyone else confused by their response on the member of Young X-Men's future after it is cancelled?

Typhoid Mary is set for Avengers: the Initiative. I can't see them taking her out of the Shadow Initiative any time soon.

It might just mean that we may never see some member of the Young X-men again after it's cancelled. Hopefully that's limited to Guggenheim's "original" characters, Cipher, Greymalkin and Ink. I'd be willing to sacrifice Rockslide as well, but I draw the line at Anole and Dust.

New Mutants! Yaaayy.... now who's going to be on the team??? Hmmm.....

I thought about Cable and Hope too when they mentioned who would be joining the team... which doesn't bode well for Bishop then... I just really hope that Messiah War delivers a good story.

Hellion in X-Force #13... but never again?? Awww, that kind of sucks, if its true. I really wanted to see some resolution to him being sort of abandoned by the X-Men, especially Emma. (unless I missed something)

What's Storm doing in Capt. Britain? Is that Nova she's giving the sword too? Something to do with Dark Reign?

That's not Nova.

In Captain Britain and MI-13, the Black Knight recently (re)learned that the sword he is currently using isn't the real Ebony Blade. So he and his squire, Faiza Hussain, have travelled to Wakanda because they believe that the Black Panther was in possession of the real sword. T'Challa took it off of a Black Knight imposter who attacked him not long ago. This scene seems to be Ororo giving the Ebony Blade back.

Apparently the fake sword has something to do with a plot by Dracula who is currently living on the moon and is in an alliance with Dr. Doom.

The father of Hope is another one of Jamie's dupes. If Jamie ever touches Hope, he would absorb her then Cable blows his head off while Bishop's pissed because his future is still a wreck.

This X-Position has me very excited for the return of Jean Grey, even though this is the third time in a row that the editors did not answer my or anyone else's Jean questions. Fraction once answered someone's question about Pepper Potts on Cup O Joe but completely ignored the Jean question. I noticed that Marvel has recently become secretive of Jean questions lately. I wonder what this means for Jean?

I wonder who the mutant joining the X-Men is?

I am not sure that Jean is the one they were refering to as the everything to the X-Men. They specifically said that no one would be returning from the grave (yes, I know she is in the White Hot Room).

i think she is fine without her original powers. she has skills and stuff. give her new powers, or bring back the valkyrie powers. I just think the old powers should be kept away because there is so much this character can do. Dani doesnt need her old powers to define her. They have developed her well enough that she can be cool in any situation.

I'm still of the opinion that if they wanted to kill Hellion they'd have done it during Messiah Complex. They're playing too hard at the possibility of his death right now, almost to the point of outright spoiler. That strikes of misdirection.

If Julian does get killed by Leper Queen, I'll be angry at Kyle and Yost for a month. Then my next issue of X-Force will come, and I'll have to take them back... because Its freaking X-Force, and there's no way I'm dropping it.

Also "another who has been just about everything to the X-Men" fits Professor Xavier (meh).

I'm telling you, those hints immediately made me think of Cable and Hope. I could even see it being reversed, actually, if Hope does turn out to be Jean reincarnated or something (which I doubt). We could get an alternate version of Cable (which has been rumored), and thus technically he's never been an X-man; and also Jean back, who has kind of been "everything to the X-men" (in some ways, I guess, since she was kind of their heart and soul).

Having said that, though, I think it's the other way around (i.e., the way I originally posted it). Of course, I could be way off. Fraction seems to like random characters, so the one who hasn't been an X-man is probably someone I've never heard of (nor will I care about) and the other is probably Xavier or something.

drwho
02-03-2009, 09:27 PM
Well given the x-mens new mission wouldnt Hope kind of represent everything to the X-Men? She represents the first new mutant after m day. Also I still hope a writer addresses the whole which Cable is currently with Hope. Because they left it pretty wide open when cable island was destroyed and if they use Deadpool continuity the current Cable would actually be a Cable from another dimension and not the original one.

I wonder who the new X-men member will be. I was thinking of Firestar when they said that. The fact that they mentioned that the office loves Firestar could be a hint. Is Justice a mutant? I guess he could be a candidate as well but I doubt it. I wonder who the other member is.

Have some faith in Claremont. As long as he's still passionate about the New Mutants, and his heart is in it, the book will be good. He wrote them well at the end of X-Treme X-Men. I reallty don't think his Exiles work reflects his present writing ability, he just doesn't seem interested in that title, same goes for New Excalibur. Genext though, he did fairly better.

LineUp could be: Mirage, Cannonball, Karma, Sunspot, Magik, Warlocke, Magma.

Bring back Legion in his original 3 personality form to add some fun to the book!

The question is, does he still have a passion for these characters? If not, the book will suck, and might as well let Cebulski write it.

Firestar is long overdue in joining the X-Men. She should have joined up with the X-Men instead of the Avengers in the 90's.

Bingo!

and I bet she does it in style

She wouldn't do it any other way.

This just occurred to me. I might believe Iceman was not fully homosexual if he pursued Firestar. Naturally, she wouldn't be interested.

But Angelica's shun would most certainly change his straight ways!
I feel like she could pursue someone better, but I cant think of anyone...

I heard that Firestar was joining a splinter team in New York. She, Iceman and Spiderman will form a team and fight Videoman.

Not forgetting a very memorable dog to replace her beloved Butter Rum going by the name of Ms Lion (she won't ride her but she'll act as her surrogate baby)

Doom.ah
thanks man

The new X-men joining:

1) Never been an X-man before - Hope Summers (all grown up)

2) Has been everything to the X-men - Cable (friend, foe, savior, destroyer)

Those are my guesses / wishful thinking.

That seems like a possibility.

It almost seems they're trying to hint that Jean's coming back. But it's another random character instead of her in the end though. lol

They have been doing for almost 5 years now, since they know that at every thing that seems as a hint will get people discussing.

Also "another who has been just about everything to the X-Men" fits Professor Xavier (meh).

DON'T. EVEN. JOKE. ABOUT. THAT.

Oh, and what if the character returning is Rogue? That would be all kinds of awesome.

"Hellion appears in “X-Force” #13. He might not ever appear anywhere again…"

This is because he is changing his codename. Hellion as we know him is dead.

Unless that has been said already, which I did not bother to find. xD

Ah but how do you know for certain they are not. They were after all the creation of the Big Man himself. He may return to claim what was his once again

I've read far more comics than is probably good for me and that summary still threw me for a loop. Dracula is hanging out on the moon dreaming up arcane plots that force a knight living in the 21st century to go to Africa to retrieve stolen merchandise? I don't know if the actual storyline is any good but your description makes it sound hysterically entertaining.

oh, this is perfect! in 2010, we can look forward to eviscerated, charred, and pulverised corpses coming back in the form of petra and sway.

they had the best death scene ever. it was smartly enhanced in a legacy flashback that was nothing less than beautiful.

i hope to see them soon.

2) Has been everything to the X-men

If they're supposed to appear in Fraction's Uncanny X-Men, does it really even matter who they are? We'll probably barely ever see them. "Joining" the X-Men doesn't mean the same thing as it used to.

"Teams" are a thing of the past, after all.

Justice is being used in Avengers the Initiative. i just dont see fire star joining in my opinion. she has never cared much about mutant rights before. Although the connection is there I just cant see it. She has always been so out of the mutant loop that I cant see why they would add her now.

I was thinking Firestar or Justice. By the time Justice joins he could be done with what ever role he was playing in Initiative. Or Wanada feels bad for what she did to mutant kind and joins the X-men to make up for it.

the sketches can be found in the "Marvel Young Guns" book that your local comic shop SHOULD BE giving out free with your purchases.
They gave me one.
Its got art in it from various new 'IT' illustrators for Marvel.

Maybe Mike Choi just felt like practicing drawing teenage characters.

To the Dazzler Fans:

Do you accept Nick Lowe's statement that Dazzler "probably had a miscarriage" while in the Mojoverse? Or do you think she birthed a child and simply left it in the Mojoverse? I sense Lois London may have a hand in this.
