Anyone know of any issues of any of the batman books (as far back as you want) where batman goes diving/underwater?
Thanks

In Superman/Batman Vol. 2 it starts out with Batman underwater diving for kryptonite. That's where he first sees Supergirl's rocket.
Only example I can think of off the top of my head right now.

I think Batman made an entrance in the Superman/Batman: Supergirl TPB out of the water with full snorkling gear on.

I reember an old superfirends where Aquaman and Superman jump out of WW invisible Jet and Batman(who I guess camefor the ride) says i wish I were going with you.
Ok I think it was in superman/batman where Bats was underwater searching for kryptonite so they could destroy it.
One of my first experiences reading Batman occured when I came across the collection Batman: From the 30's to the 70's. I haven't read the book in at least 20 years, but there's a great story in there that I've never forgotten. Batman and Robin are in their Batsub carrying on an experiment of some sort. Unfortunately, they've been down so long that if they resurface too rapidly, they'll die from the bends. So they're stuck underwater for several days and the Underworld knows this. That's...pretty much all I remember. That, and a scene where Batman and Robin are able to protect a museum by entering via a giant fish tank garbed in old time scuba gear. They scare an octopus which causes it to expell it's ink and then run off. Oh, and at the very end of the story, his sends the Batman robot he's been building while in the sub after the gang that's running rampant through Gotham. It has to claw it's way up the side of a building and breaks down after doing it's job. It dates to the 50's and was drawn by Dick Sprang.

Wow. Batman looks surprised by Aquaman's... eagerness.

nah, he's just faking being surprised to throw off Aquaman. Batman's always prepared for everything, even... eagerness.

I also have BATMAN FROM THE 30S TO THE 70S and there are two stories in it that book which involved Batman scuba diving.
"THE UNDERSEA BATMAN" (I think) where Bats and Robin are in danger of getting the "bends" if they come up too early, so they strategically fought crime using the Bat Sub.
"TWO FACE STRIKES AGAIN" Which featured the return of Harvey Dent (Harvey Dent -Harvey Dent -etc, oOOPS, SORRY, HEATH! ) the original Two Face. I think this story was reprinted in BATMAN IN THE 50s, which is still in print.
I don't think he used any BAT SHARK REPELLANT in either story.
Speaking of that, in his BACK TO THE BATCAVE book, Adam West commented on Batman's scuba diving outfit, which actually made room for Bats' pointy ears:
"...And OUR show was silly?"
Gotta love him!
