So seen as were now only 90 years away from the possible cyber-dystopia depicted in the sadly defunct marvel 2099 line I thought I'd start an X-men 2099 thread.
Just been reading some old issues, from when I was younger and have to say they hold up very well! I loved the way the cast was developed and the universe fleshed out in a really short space of time. Fall of the hammer was one of my first crossover experiences and its still close to my heart! As far as the X-men go I loved the more ambiguous leader X'ian and the outspoken eco activist 'Bloodhawk', also the art for the 'Oasis' graphic novel was beautiful and I always wanted a meanstreak action figure. heh
I know the ending to the 2099 line wasn't exactly favourable but what does everyone else think to this often overlooked series?
