Only recently found out about this. Looks a beautiful game, even like a film in parts course it might just be the trailer makes it look pretty damn good but Im hooked. Just need to hope it will get released in the West. Really does remind me of something Studio Ghibli would produce.

Seems to be a post-apocalyptic world, your one of the few survivors, left to explore the ruins of civilization etc etc.

Hopefully it will come out in the Westbut it isnt out in Japan yet. I know they are doing previews for it in magazines so there is hope.

For some reason, I get an Ico/Kingdom Hearts vibe from the trailer.

Also, I have this weird feeling it might be a point-and-click adventure game, at least in certain locales.

No, its not point in click, but its hard to describe. Its an RPG, but only in a few ways, like leveling up and fighting monsters, but its mostly a puzzle game. You control the character with the control stick and use the IR point to control his flashlight.

While there is combat, this game is extremely story based, and thus is driven by you solving puzzles, making it to new areas, finding new spirits to talk to, etc. Fragile is sort of like a middle ground between a video game and a "visual novel" game. You do actively play it, beyond just choice making, but at the same time its kinda like playing a movie.

I've heard really good things about it, but I'm not sure if it will come out in the States. Some people are clamoring to show their interest to some publishers.

Wow, I have to admit that this one looks very interesting. It almost seems like how Silent Hill would be if done by Studio Ghibli with a faint Shin Megami Tensei vibe to it.

Looks great. But unless it has good gameplay, well...

If it is a good game, however, I think Nintendo should definitely bring it over. My Wii is so neglected these days.

it seems to be a combination JRPG and Point & Click Adventure. o it ought to play uniquely.

The game is to be published in North America by Xseed Games in the winter of 2009 and in Europe by Rising Star Games in the spring of 2010

Its getting a PAL release too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :biggrin:
