Maybe its something like a habit, you get so use using that ring so much like a limb you barely remember that you have hand (which bring the question as to why Green lantern are always musculated)

^ yep, that and it also builds on Franks idea that GL generally finds pretty useless or banal expressions for his almost unlimited power. coathangers, searchlights, hand gestures...when he has a perfectly good pair of his own ha ha. he looks so serious when he's grabbing Wonder Womans jacket with his emerald-coathanger, the same ernestness you'd see when he's saving a child from a runaway truck or something :rolleyes:

and for those who resent Millers treatment of GL....remember this is the same character who later leaves earth to raise a family of little aliens with his alien lover, builds his own network of wormholes across the universe for transport and saves the entire planet by wrapping a giant glove around it. yes, another hand :biggrin:. "Bruce you begged me not to leave...How strange that it would be you. The mean one. The cruel one. How strange that you, of all of us, would prove the most hopeful" The maniacal and sadistic goddamn batman ha. I can't wait to put the completed All-Star trades next to DKSA on my shelf.
