Blowing up thumbnails

What methods do you all use to lightbox your thumbails to the 11 x 17 bristol?
Do you go to kinko's everyday or just buy a big scanner and big printer and do it that way?
I've been looking at prices of the big scanners and printers and they're in the 2000's in price.

Just get a regular scanner. Thumbnails are generally pretty small; you don't need an 11x17 scanner to scan something that's smaller than 8x10.

As for printing, you don't have to print the whole 11x17 page in one sheet. Just do it in sections - maybe print one panel at a time or something.

I'd love to get one of those scanners myself, but my plain old Epson Perfection is still going strong after 6 or 7 years and thousands of scans.
