Ok I loved the trailer and a FF fan who loves the games , I shall buy this. I will have to get a PS3 now.

I watched the demo of FFVII for the PS3 which could be a rumored revamp of it. I hope it happens. I'd buy a revamp of it. FFVII made me a big fan of the series.

Are you sure you have to get a PS3 just for this? It's coming out for the 360 also. It's Final Fantasy Versus XIII that's PS3 exclusive, as of now.

Let's hope they don't rush a translation to a story heavy game so we don't get a game full of awkward moments like 4,6,7,8,9,and 10.
I still haven't finished 12, haven't come into anything too off there yet, but they really, really can't rush this thing.

We really wouldn't have this problem is the Japanese just added english subtitles. Then they wouldn't even need voice actors. I haven't finished 12 either, but that because its boring and the extra stuff (that needs to be done before the end of the game. Is minding numbingly hard or tedious.)

Yeah but most people think subtitles are stupid and cant be bothered with reading them in movies let alone games. Your already sitting on your ass doing nothing but moving your fingers a little bit and you expect them to read also?

Still this looks very uninteresting, square has gone way down hill after FF7. They started caring more about graphics and mini games and cut scenes than anything else. Testament to the laziness and money grabbing is how they just re-release old games over and over again. But just because it has the FF name on it it will sell a bajillion copies and be touted as a great game like all the others for awhile then people will start complaining about something with it.

It's still the case. FF 13 will be getting a 360 release. They announced it at E3 2008.

Not so sure if no one cares about it is accurate considering the amount of known info on the game. You know all that stuff about it probably being the most realistic FF game ever made, not to mention darkest, with an entirely different play style, stand alone story that just happens to be in the same world as FF13, with a cast of characters whos appearance and apparent abilties lean toward the style of fighting found in the tricky fight scenes in FF Advent Children, I think the FF fans who opt to get the PS3 or those who have bought both PS3's and 360s are going to be very very happy. Besides FF13 is going to be a compilation, FF 13, FF 13 Versues, and FF Agito, the later coming out on the PSP. Also the later sets up what happens in the former two or so I read. Not playing the other 2 games would kind of burn me since its apparent SquareEnix isn't going to be making another Final Fantasy for quite some time and probably not for the current gen of systems if they do.

I keep forgetting how peoples minds work. Game X can come out and then push out a sequal every year or a new downloadable expansion every other month to which people will or can purchase at their leisure and its fine. Game Y however tells you that they planned on making a 3 game compilation with each being unique so that you don't get that dated feeling from playing either one, and its a bad thing. Yup.. good ol internet, where people will whine and cry fool without even knowing what they are whining about. Geniuses of this thread answer me this, if you planned on getting FF13 and the majority of you are or else this thread would have saw no one respond in it, and then square released FF13-2 a year after how many of you would have bought it? Then lets say one or two years after that you bought FF13 Tactics for another portable system who would have bought that?

Actual Real Life Answer: More than enough people to make it lucrative for SquareEnix to do it.

Does not buying make me a better person than the person who did? Nope. Does it make me a worse person? Nope. It's just all about the experience which is the case of all video games, but saddly as of late the ones that are ACTUALLY OUT and playable haven't been all that great. So save for people who are actually time travelers and or clairvoyant and have experienced their future selves level of joy or dismay overing playing the other stand alone FF13 games every other opinion sounds like people who are just discontent and should be aiming their rants over at the director of FF13 for having two many damn ideas for one damn game. :rolleyes:
