The story is by a new writer so it has some weaknesses but all considered it was excellent to my taste. I bought this in single issues but will pick this up to support the writer. Hopefully we'll see more of her work in the future and get to witness her hone her craft further. The story dovetails very well with Huntress: Cry For Blood by Greg Rucka.

Each of the single issues got an average overall score of 3.6 out of 5 on the iFanboy website.

Anyway, hope this helps you decide if you want to buy it or not.

P.S: I also have the reviews I wrote - with spoilers - for each individual issue. I'll post those if anyone requests it.

I was hopeful for this series, but ultimately disappointed. Some decent ideas, but she needed a stronger editor like she needed air. I'd recommend saving your money and reading the Rucka book again.

I've really been looking forward to this release, I bought the first two issues and decided to trade wait on it, which I means I like it. For me floppies are usually just a sampler to the trade...however in this instance I admit I've felt especially bad for not supporting the singles because it seems like Ms.Madison has no further comic work lined up, which is disappointing. Ah it's the old floppies vs trades dilemma.

This is much better than Ruckas mini imo and I really liked the characterisation of Batman Catwoman and Nightwing.

If anyone's wondering this can pretty much compliment Ruckas work, it doesn't completely retcon his origin.

Aw, great. I didn't think it'd come out so soon, seeing Amazon.com had this listed for next month, but I'm glad it's coming out (fairly) early. I'm definately gonna scoop this one up. Here's hoping the sells for the trade will make up for my not buying the individual issues.

I'm a little dissapointed with the cover, though. Richard's version of the Huntress just looks...off to me right there. A little too much like Belana from Star Trek: Voyager. I wish they had gone with a modified version of the cover for issue one. It was quite strikingly beautiful.

The story's pretty good, though as much as I like it, I have to admit Madison's characterization of Helena was a bit wonky throughout the story, but her interaction with the Batclan was great.

Slight continuity gafts aside, it's a good read overall. I can't really say it's better or worse than Cry For Blood, seeing as I've never read it.

Comic trades are pretty typically released to comic shops (the direct market) earlier than they appear in bookstores (including online bookstores).

I find it unfortunate that this book had bad luck as far as timing for ti's release. It competed wit RIP in single issues and now the trade comes the same week as the Final Crisis finale.

Hard luck.

On a more positive note, I think the Huntress costume featured in this story is my favorite design.
