Computer monitor/360 help.

I decided to get one of those fancy, big hd computer monitors, and my bro in law told me i could hook my 360 up to it.
I looked online and these seems to be true, but do i need a seperate cable? I don't know a lot about this stuff, all i've got with my 360 is the cable that has the red, yellow and white wire, and then blue, green...and...some other color.
My computer has the hookup for the new monitor, as does my new laptop, but what exactly do i need to use it for my 360, and are there any brands i should stay away from?

It depends on what kind of connections your monitor has. Some of them do have component inputs, which would mean you wouldn't need any other equipment. If it doesn't, though, you'll need something. Exactly what though depends on the monitor's connections. Figure that out first.

My guess is you'd need an XBOX HDMI cable.

Ok, i grabbed a friend who knows about this stuff and we found a 25.5 inch samsung one,which had like 3 inputs, one was HDMI, one was.....
.....
It came with a normal computer monitor cable, and then one that kind of looked like it but it was white. Anyway, the basics is i got it hooked up to my computer and my 360, and the 360 really does look better in HD.
Braid looks like a different game entirely, Gears 2 looks awesome, haven't tried anything else yet.

The only thing left is what do i do with that hdmi thing, theres another cable for the 360 i could buy...

At 25 inches, probably not that much.
