DC COMICS
Birds Of Prey #126 (Faces Of Evil Tie-In), $2.99 :frown: I think this is the last issue, no? Too bad, but I guess it fits with DC's editorial mandate of cancelling quality titles.
Brave And The Bold #21, $2.99 - quickly losing interest since Waid left.

DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT
Garth Ennis Battlefields Night Witches #3 (of 3)(Cover A John Cassday), $3.50 - Ennis shows that you do not need the "big" events in a war to tell good war stories.

IDW PUBLISHING
Doctor Who Forgotten #6 (Ben Templesmith Regular Cover), $3.99
Star Trek Countdown #1 (David Messina Regular Cover), $3.99 - flip test at LCS which may lead to TPB.
Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen Movie Prequel Defiance #1 (Alex Milne Regular Cover), $3.99 - same flip test/TPB.

MARVEL COMICS
Astonishing X-Men #28, $2.99 - is this still being published? is it racing Planetary for slowest series?
Dark Avengers #1 (Mike Deodato Jr Regular Cover)(Dark Reign Tie-In), $3.99
Dr Doom Masters Of Evil #1, $2.99 - flip test at LCS. I'm hoping for a lighter, more entertaining mini than most of Marvel's recent minis.
Guardians Of The Galaxy #9 (War Of Kings Tie-In), $2.99
Mighty Avengers #21 (Dark Reign Tie-In), $3.99
Punisher Frank Castle MAX #66, $3.99
Spider-Man Noir #2 (of 4)(Patrick Zircher Regular Cover), $3.99 - XMen Noir # 1 was okay. I may just end up TPB'ing the other Noir books b/c of the price point.
Uncanny X-Men Annual #2 (Dark Reign Tie-In), $3.99
Wolverine Origins #32, $2.99
X-Factor #39, $2.99
X-Men Legacy #220, $2.99

TWOMORROWS PUBLISHING
Back Issue #32, $6.95 - I have been getting more into this mag depending on the subject matter. Good quality writing and great insights.

I just read the Uncanny Annual. Very cool! Fraction nailed this one. Love the flashback scenes! ;)

Here is what I will get:

DC COMICS
Birds Of Prey #126 (Faces Of Evil Tie-In), $2.99 - Not really sure what the purpose of the Faces of Evil stuff.
Green Lantern #37 (Blackest Night Prelude), $2.99 - Johns building up to Blackest Night!
Supergirl #37 (Faces Of Evil Tie-In), $2.99 - Jamal Igle art!

MARVEL COMICS
Amazing Spider-Man #584, $3.99 - Falling behind. Not as excited about Spidey after the last couple of months.
Astonishing X-Men #28, $2.99 - Ellis sucked me back in with the last issue.
Dark Avengers #1 (Mike Deodato Jr Regular Cover), $3.99 - Not a Deodato fan but am willing to give this a try because of Bendis.
Guardians Of The Galaxy #9 (War Of Kings Tie-In), $2.99 - So sad that Pelletier is off the book.
Mighty Avengers #21 (Dark Reign Tie-In), $3.99 - Can Slott make something of this book? I'm interested to find out.
War Machine #2 (Dark Reign Tie-In), $2.99 - Pre-ordered but this will probably be my last issue...unless I am wowed when I finally get around to reading issue #1.

Trip

I think that there is one more issue. Did you see the cover for the April '09 solicits for the second issue of the Oracle mini-series? Cleavage from Barbara Gordon? Seriously? Ugh.

Astonishing X-Men #28, $2.99 - is this still being published? is it racing Planetary for slowest series?

It's not that bad, right? I think that the last (real) issue shipped 2~3 months ago.

Whatever happened to newuniversal? I see Ellis written title after Ellis written title ship, but not that one anymore.

I did see that. Barbara Gordon may be attractive but that cover did seem out of place for BOP. It has never been a T&A/bad girl book although the characters were never afraid to use "sexiness" to their advantage.

Probably not, but between Whedon's run and now Ellis' it just seems VERY long between issues.

According to DCBS, #'s 3 & 4 are STILL on the schedule, but are 8-9 months late. They haven't been cancelled! Someone should email Marvel on this one...

Accordign to Rich Johnson in this week's LitG, New Universal is canned - but I don't think the retaillers know that yet.

Oh - Young X-Men is done w/ #12, which I had heard.

On Oracle: She certainly does have the best body in the DCU for being stuck in a wheelchair, huh? Go Barbara! :p

Balent's depictions of women make me think one of two things:

A. he's been watching too much porn

B. he's been hanging out with too many strippers

:frown:

edit: I mean, it's not porn, it's not satire, it's not innovative....so it just comes across as being crass, teenage fantasy
