Another exclamation that I remember her uttering when I was a wee lad was "Merciful Minerva!" I honestly can't remember whether that might've been on the Super Friends cartoon or whether I read a story with her in it or what, but I remember her saying it. (I'm sure that I saw some of the show with Lynda Carter too.)

So when I learned that one of her enemies was named "Barbara Minerva" I wondered if the creator of that character was inspired by that exclamation. Anybody know how Cheetah's name came to be?

No idea why they named Babs what they did, but in her first appearence, there was a hint 'Barbara Minerva' was an alias. Under the effect of the lasso, she almost blurts out "There is no Barbara Minerva..." This seems to have been discarded, though.
