Psylocke Week: A Burtsy Affair

Love. So many have had it and lost it. The X-men are no strangers to it either. But perhaps one of the best love stories in the X-men is one that has not happened yet. Kurt Wagner and Elisabeth Braddock are two mutants who have not always had it so easy in the love department. However it is so obvious that the two are meant for each other. BURTSY REIGNS!!!! What do you think?

A couple of flirtations doesnt make them a couple, heck, during the Claremont times, everyone flirted and kissed each other. Nightcrawler and Rachel, Wolverine and Storm, Storm and Nightcrawler, etc. (who knows who else I missed). For reminding me of that, my option will be friends with benefits.

But their contrasting personalities make them perfect for ech other. I see Kurt grounding Betsy somewhat, giving her something meaningful in her life. While Betts basically brings the fun and adventure back into Kurt's life.Bringing him out of a much loathed rut.

Please God no! There is nothing I hate more than Grant Morrison turning Emma into a home wrecking skank by having her chase after Scott.

We all know that Cyclops will kick Emma to the curb as soon as Jean returns. So we don't need Betsy to try and 'steal' himi.

Further I don't want to see the books turn into some trite soap opera where all the female characters do is try and one up each other by chasing after each others men. One of the fun things about the X books is reading a bunch of female characters who respect themselves and don't stoop to nasty behaviour

Kurt can be wild enough - he's a gentlemanly charmer but keep in mind that he also has the love of adventure in his soul, shown from his interests in pirates and the circus. I think he needs Betsy to bring that out in him. And yes, he could ground her somewhat as mentioned previously.
