So we get an annual AND a limited series?
AWESOME!
Wish Deadpool was this popular back in 97. Maybe then, Joe Kelly would have stayed on the title :)

The Joe Kelly issues are hard to come by, is there a trade out with his work?

I haven't been enjoying Way's Deadpool, so having alternatives in the form of the annual and this is welcome to get my DP fix.
That said...I'll probably tradewait. With the price hike, I'm going to be much more selective in buying miniseries now.

Deadpool Classic vol. 1 just came out which features his first appearance, his first two mini-series, and the first issue of his ongoing series (written by Joe Kelly). More volumes will eventually be released comprising more of his initial ongoing series.

Benson has rocked Moon Knight. He also has written on shows like Bernie Mac and Entourage so he has a comedy background. Most definitely worth checking out.

Capitalizing on his appearance in Wolverine movie.
Why don't they just show him without the mask and make his face "better" so he looks like the retard Ryan Reynolds.

Not much to add, but I am excited by the prospect of a mini-series...
I'm guessing the annual somehow ends up tied to the mini-series...

I got to get everything Deadpool because when his 1997 series came out I didn't with annuals and stuff. Now they are like $5.00 to a hundred dollars a issue.

I doubt they would fix his face, that would make the purpose of his mask pointless as it is his face. If they were going to do something like that they might as well say that he didn't even love Vanessa.

I hear that by the end of the movie Ryan's face will be made to look like deadpool's.

Depends. If his tastes are like mine, he's not. I loved Cable & Deadpool, and hated the first five issues of Way's book.
'Course he should at least try an issue or two to see for himself.

Thats the thing it depends on your tastes, I like the earlier Deadpool stuff the best, I actually prefered the fourth wall being broken every other page, the crazy stories, and the twisted "innocense" of Wade shining through every now and then. I was able to buy about a third of the series until some guy bought them all before I had a chance to.

By the looks of it.
Deadpool in next year at this time will have two ongoing books out there.
Not so far ago this character was spliting a title with Cable.
And now have already one ongoing book going well.
And a limited series coming out.Apears in a major movie coming out this summer. And have a Annual book coming in the future as well.

Deadpool in next year at this time will have two ongoing books out there.I don't think so. This is merely a mini to coincide with his appearance in the Wolverine movie so they can cash in on the movie. Same thing happened with Iron Man. Same thing will happen with Wolverine. Although they got ongoings because they were the stars, rather then simply a mini.

I'm okay with them selling out a little bit just for more Wade.

With how dreadful Way is on Wolverine: Origins, I'm waiting for an issue to appear on Marvel's Digital Comics.
I felt the exact same way. The only things written by Way I liked were his two Bullseye minis. But I gave his Deadpool a shot, and it's better than I thought it'd be. I don't like it as much as I loved Wade in Cable/Deadpool, but I was pleasantly surprised.
As for this new mini, Wade's a lot like Jell-O. There's always room for Deadpool!

If sales are good, we'll probably see more one-shoots or minis, but I can't see there being a demand for 2 ongoings.
