Spoiler space for those who haven't watch it and don't want the ending ruined.
Did anybody else feel that the ending was a little off? The dad being the one who killed his son because he was an abuser. The show gave no indication that he abused his wife and sons except for that small part about the younger son going to the hospital a couple of times. I'm no expert but wouldn't the wife and older son also have had some physical injuries resulting of abuse. The father was never shown to have an anger issue. He seemed somewhat calm even when that lead guy asked that stupid question about why football is called football.
Once they arrested the father they seemed to completely forget about the son's fight with his coach, his team mate and the rough-housing with his younger brother. And you're supposed to assume that the father set up all that witchcraft stuff and then later on believe that the witch actually cast a magic spell to find the murder weapon which caused him to panic and try to throw the pipe wrench?
It made better sense for the younger brother to accidentally kill his brother defending himself from his bullying and then try to hide the body in the woods. Later on feeling guilty tried to do some kind of twisted witchcraft funeral and finally telling his parents who tried to cover up for him as they knew it was an accident and they didn't want to lose both sons.
And I haven't really watched that much of the show but is that agent really that gullible believing that the witch had magic powers and put a spell on him? Not even Mulder was that gullible.
