Nothing really happened in this issue at all. Wade wakes up, fights tiger shark a little, gets shot, wakes up near Bob Agent of Hydra and Tiger Shark and it ends. Next issue, i guess he fights tiger shark again?
The one awesome thing is that Bob is back. But really though, it was just a mediocre issue. Seriously, nothing happened. And considering i accepted that Way isn't gonna be that funny, i at least hoped for something to at least happen.

nothing happening is way's trademark a lot of times.

Way usually has been funny, but really not in this issue. I'm guessing he's just killing time until the Thunderbolts crossover.

It really sucks considering this is the only comic I'm really getting nowadays, and the series started off fine but this one (and hell i honestly forgot what happened in the last few to be honest) was pretty boring. And it suffers from the me comparing it to C&D which IMO was really great. So while i enjoyed the first few issues, I'm kind of sick of nothing happening and the comic suddenly ending before i realized i started reading it. Every time I'm done with it, I'm like "thats it?"
i wonder if marvel ever saw the response of the fans about Cable and Deadpool. If they did, i dont see why they handed Deadpool off to another writer.
btw, does anybody know the sales figures for the new Deadpool series. I know Cable and deadpool was always around 25-35 thousand but i haven't been paying attention for this one.
and yeah i know, im a whiny loser.

We ended last comic with Deadpool under water, with Tiger Shark.

Was there any real point to this issue other than to include Bob?

Is there anything wrong with having Bob around? I personally like to have halitosis man around.

I found this issue funny with Wade hitting on the pretty nurse. One of his lines was "It's time to get the killing done!"

Yeah, forgetting the rant from Taxi Driver was a good bit.

It had it's moment but give Way a bit more time to get his consistency up.

I agree on one thing, some of these issues fly by quick fast. Can't believe how fast some of these issues end.
As for Bob's return, two words- F#$% and Yes. That actually made me laugh seein Bob all angry an s#$%
It was a good issue though, I think you guys need to go back and read it a few times. I had to go back and read issue 5 a couple times and I think it IS because issues like that go by soo fast. The way he f#$%ed over Zeke in the issue before this was pretty f$#%in awesome the second time around, why? I don't know exactly lol..
As for this issue, I actually think it was one of the better ones since Deadpool actually f#$%ed over Tigershark which was relieving to see. I was gettin tired of seein Deadpool runnin away from Skrulls and not fightin his way out of that Zombie Castle. I think this is easily one of the better issues action-wise.
The humor is what it is, every Deadpool book has hits and misses. If you guys are expectin to laugh your asses off for EVERY Deadpool book I think you're just settin yourself up. But the fact the whole time he was fightin Tigershark he was really only thinkin about some hot a$$, that made me lol' a lil bit. So did the conversation with the police on the cellphone and him gettin shot up by the police immediately afterwards, lol infront of the hot a$$ he was tryin to bag nonetheless. Good stuff. Another good book to add to the collection.
Plus the art in the action scenes looks alot better, it doesn't look nearly as stiff as it did in the first issues. This is easily the best Deadpool has looked since Zircher was on. Everything looks nice and clean and I just wanna see some maiming and some brutal gun-totting and dual katana wielding mayhem.

Okay. Why did the cops leave Deadpools body bag on the wharf? There is something going on here, and Bob isn't telling the whole story. How does Bob just turn up anyway? No. This conveniently sets the body bag on the wharf, with Bob, and with Tiger Shark. Why didn't Tiger Shark just cut DP's head off when he was 'dead'? This is a Norman Osborn mind game of some sort.
And what chance is there TS is going to get DP's head? Will it matter? Can DP grow another head? I don't know if Norman Osborn knows what crazy he has on his hands with DP. That request on TS was never going to be carried out.

I found the lack of content in this issue foreboding. Unless Tiger Shark is being sent by Osborn, and he's but the first one he uses as a button man against DP, slow build.
Even slower build with Bob. Although, wouldn't be nice to see HYDRA trying to avoid getting muscled in on by SHIELD's replacement, HAMMER.

Yeah. HYDRA and HAMMER are synonyms for each other. They can wear the same suits too. Both are killers.

Well, that's kind of my point... would they oppose each other? Or can Osborn somehow co-opt the group?
I doubt we'll see that sort of angle out of this tale. Seems more likely it's just "People like Bob. Let's put in Bob." Maybe I'm not giving Way enough credit, I don't know.

Lets wait and see. Somewhere in DR Marvel can address Osborn approaching Hydra, and AIM. Osborn is approaching Atlas Industries, so there is no reason not to approach any of the wilder organisations out there, especially if Osborn has approached Loki and Doom. If Osborn extends the hand of friendship to all and any organisation out there, it wouldn't surprise me in the least, now.

I had such low hopes for Way that this issue doesn't really break it for me. The first five issues were so much better then I excepted that this one is alright. At least there's a Deadpool book. Paco Medina's art has been pretty good. So it might not be the best issue so far, but it's not over yet.

Enjoyable. Way's Deadpool isn't as good as the first thirty or so issues of C&D, but I think it's better than the last twenty (although, to be fair, the last few issues did give us Deadpool's lovable pet, Bob... and I'm very glad to see him again here).

Can DP grow another head?
No, but if it's cut off there's about a 60 second window for someone to put it back on and Wade's healing factor will reattach it. Any longer than than and the lack of blood to his brain would kill him.
Is there anything wrong with having Bob around? I personally like to have halitosis man around.
Maybe the writer got lazy and assumed that having Bob's appearance alone could carry the book.

What is interesting is the last time we saw Tiger Shark he was being arrested by SHIELD agents after being rescued from that Skrull in the Raft by Ms Marvel in her book. Now, it seems, TS is let free by Osborn. Not with a nanochain, like other TBolts, because that Stark Tech was ruined when Cap Marvell broke Normans office desk that controlled the nanochains.
So TS can't be controlled by nanochains, by by threats. TS is given a carrot of double his fee for DP's head, but if TS fails, Osborn will kill him. That should be interesting, looking for TS in the whole Atlantic Ocean.

Maybe, though I still hold stock in Thanos' curse on Deadpool keeping him from death. Seeing that if he does die he can be with her.

Don't really see where the hate is coming from.
This issue was leagues above the Zombie crap/what felt like enjoyable filler from the last two issues.
I'd say this series is pretty much getting better with every issue, Way has come into his own on this book in an amazing turnaround.
The guy bores me to tears with his other work but his Deadpool is becoming pretty damn fantastic.

I felt that issues 4 and 5 were a nice way to remember what sort of antics Wade use to take way back in the day with Joe Q before being part of big huge cross title mega story arcs that I really don't give a hoot about. Who here remembers reading Deadpools Zanny antics from yesteryear? Like when he had his affair with Death or shrinking Rhino and turning him into a key chain... you know FUN stories that he use to have instead of trying to really live up to what Nathan really wants Deadpool to be.

Well, with this issue it really looked like Way is just waiting for the crossover with the thunderbolts, and he just included Bob to satisfy the readers.
How dare he use Bob for a purpose like that :evilangry:, still it was good to see Bob again

Having read the thread it seems a lot of you folks like it and a lot don't.
Personally? I liked it, there's a lot of great ideas and dangling threads in play at the moment. I guess the telling will be whether these plans and hints come to fruition.
If Wade doesn't get some form of payback against Osborn then I'll be thoroughly disappointed. Deadpool's probably the only other character (besides Frank Castle...) who's crazy enough to take Norman on.
Last year I would've hoped for Spider-Man taking Norman down but now, after the Secret Invasion tie-ins, Wade's gotta play a part... especially when you now factor in that Spider-Man's crap.

I'm sorry but:
Mark Waid > Daniel Way
Hard. Deadpool has been fun but I don't think Waid's upcoming DR tie-in arc "24/7" is going to have a hard time steamrolling over Way.
And I can't factor in Spider-Man being crap when it's been solid gold nonstop for the past several months.

Granted, that was before Kelly made Deadpool a good character.

I actually just read that for the first time today. I enjoyed it. It wasn't the definitive Deadpool, but I thought Waid had a pretty good handle on what the character was at the time.

But the character at the time was still in his Rob phase. Like I said, it can be explained that Waid's version isn't as good because Kelly hadn't revamped the character yet, but it's still not as good.

This is kind of OT, but does anyone remember that spider totem god from Spiderman from awhile back (last year or the year before that) that could reach across panels and beat up people?
Deadpool really needs to fight that guy.
