I think that the current X-force will have people talking for years.
Also Whedon's finale of AXM.

I dont really see x-force as an event. I'm going with pixie where she turned from a sweet naive gullible character to a ferocious soul with a hole demon dagger wielding porn face having and also showing up all the X-Men with her skills that she has been training for one year if at that marvel time while the other x-men were dumb founded and helpless without her.

Hhmmm many things!
Kitty Pryde in the bullet has resonated throughout the X-Comics...and it is a topic of interest to fans (what her fate will be, etc.)
X-Force is another. It just knocked everyone's socks off from issue one. It is rare that a comic does that. Kyle and Yost are completely in their element, and it shows!
Magik returning. Yes, it is still in progress, but her proper return has been wanted by fans for decades now. It is a big topic of discussion among fans, and if she gets a big role after X-Infernus, it could be a topic of discussion for some time.
Young X-Men....unfortunately not in a good way. Many people consider it one of the worst X-Comics ever. Also, i cannot think of an X-Comic that failed on its early run like this did. That puts it in a category of its own. While people will eventually move on from active discussion of it, i believe it will always pop up time and again, as something to joke about, or compare to. There were a few inspired ideas that, i hope, survive the cancellation. It can also be a topic on what not to do with a revamp. Nonetheless...Young X-Men..believe it or not....will likely be discussed years to come! Not in the way that X-Force, Magik, or Kitty Pryde will be, but sometimes even bad notoriety is still notoriety.

New X-men for it's unexpected cancellation & replacement with the mediocre Young X-men.
Why? Because Fans can hold on to Grudges for years & Years.

1) Griping about Cable/Bishop/Baby story going nowhere
2) YXM being bleh.
Magik/Kitty/X-Force feel too closed for any to really be memorable. All of them have really been left in their own little world for too long to feel like big memorable events. They just of happened... and then UXM came in and sort of got self-obsessed with all "ZOMG we're in San Francisco now!??!"

Not a lot. Maybe the move to San Fran and the call to mutants, as it seemed to be THE moment where the X-Men became Cyclops' and not Xavier's.

Pixie became WHOA tremendous, Miss Sinister came to exist and we realised that comics could still be magical, Boom Boom made her glorious and up-yours return to the X-Men, Hepzibah became hipper than Janis Joplin, Darkstar made a comic-stealing appearance in Wolverine: First Class...
The X-Office is obviously attempting to curry favour with me. Duly noted, X-Office! Good work!

I dug the return of Deadpool to his own series (again), although Pixie goin apeshit on Nightcrawler with her soul dagger was pretty sweet. I also liked Secret Invasion: X-men. Great story, but I wish it were longer.

Even I know that was from 2007. I remember now, wasn't that the issue which came out two weeks late and changed the ES schedule?
X-Force will be obviously remembered. So will the move to SF. Cyclops' leadership in 2008 will be remembered, whether people liked it or not.
I will remember it for the ending of Messiah Complex and X-Men: Emperor Vulcan and for the year I had to wait 11 months after a really big cliffhanger to see Lorna again.
