Wonder if Wither will turn up with Selene.

YES! WITHER!
If either Kyle or Yost show up I have a question for them.
What happens if Wither shakes hands with Rogue?

I can't wait...know that they'll give Selene the spotlight that she deserves.

When we left NEW X-MEN we asked for two things, X-23—duh—and Selene.
It's so nice to know that they love X-23 so much!! <3<3

I always comment on the greatness of the interviews with C&C before i actually read them because i know they will be great. Once again. I was proven correct.

But of course! They created X-23 back on X-Men Evolutions and then brought her over to the comics. I know if I cam up with a character people took to so quickly I wouldn't want someone else messing around with her. We see what happened to Pixie...

Im glad Selene is getting the treatment she deserves. She always had a huge potential to become a major villain. Id like to see her have a psychic battle with Emma Frost.

I can't wait for Selene's return. She has been one of my favourite villains for as long as I have been reading X-books. I have no doubt that she is in very capable hands with the X-Force creative team.

Both of their hands wither.

HOTT!
Also sounds like they setting Selene up to be a long term threat. She deserves it imo, she just as much a powerhouse as Sinister, Apocalypse, Stryfe or Magneto were.
Also, if Eli Bard isn't Elias Bogan I will be SUPREMELY disappointed. :frown:

Yes! Selene! And I hope Rahne's story developes as well as the other plot elements.
As for Wither or Rogue - why can't they just hide Leech under the Bed or in a closet for having physical contact - problem solved...
"Yes, you have to respect women who want to be sexy first and evil second," Kyle jokes. "In all seriousness, Selene is a character that we feel can be as great as Emma Frost, and hopefully our coming story will help her achieve some of that awesomeness."
"Chris and I are all about brining back the classics," he relates. "The old characters and stories are still the best.
Quoted for truth. It's something I picked up reading NXM and X-23 and even watching Wolverine and The X-Men. C&C are definetly two old school fan boys. It seems that they are disciples of Claremont. And are their stories harken back to the X books in the early and mid 90's.
They clearly understand what makes a powerful and ambitious woman tick. She never sells herself short and she plays to win.
It also explains why X-23 is such a wonderful character.
It's been a heck of a long time since I've been anxious to pick up the next issue of a comic book. Instead of being left feeling apathetic. It would be nice if they could take over the writing chores on UXM. I'm unimpressed with Fraction.

Selene is exciting but I am really looking forward to the Leper Queen.
Bingo!

I wonder if Kyle and Yost will tease us with some Magma in their flashbacks.
@ jarrod, YES! Selene is just as bad, if not worse than all those shmucks you mention. I'm waiting for the inevitable Selene and Emma showdown.

Looks like the Cuckoos might defect.

I second that Mia! I have been excited to see Selene in the pages of X-Force ever since the title began and she was rumored to become a major foe for the team.

I seriously cannot wait to see how she looks on panel once this book is released. It may very well be a visual orgasm.

You see, I think, and I hope others agree, one of the nice things about C&C: They know HOW to tell a story with out rushing it, or throwing the characters they want to write at us straight away.
Take New X-Men, and X-23. They wanted her on the book. Now, yes, she was in their first issue, but briefly. In fact if you think back, or indeed go back and read your issues/trades you'll notice she wasn't thrown at us. C&C were sorting out the NXM kids first. Then gave us Laura. She didn't have much of a role until last least five or six issues in, if I remember correctly. And we get two big arcs before her own arc.
Now take X-Force. C&C said (in this interview), in X-Force, they wanted X-23 and Selene. Well, they've again not thrown Laura at us. Okay, she got a bit of a character moment in #4, but it took us until issue #10 for her to have another character moment. C&C know how to even things out and not let any character, be it their baby or anyone else, hog the spotlight. And, we're going to meet Selene, the other character they wanted from the start, at issue #11 (or it may be #12).
See what I'm talking about? Not rushed or throwing the characters at us. Letting the story develop. Something we haven't really seen in the last ten years or so.
Other writers at Marvel could do with taking some advice from their co-workers.

100% agreed. Perhaps the creative team of Young X-Men missed that meeting.
