Wow. Pete's really angry.
Thanks for the preview, CBR.
Can't wait. CB and MI13 really grabbed my attention from the getgo.
It's not Excalibur 2 .. well 4 .. it stands on its own and does a smashing job of delivering a great comic every month.

I feel badly for him even if he's a traitor.

That preview is looking brilliant. The fill in art on one page fits in just fine, and it's fantastic to see the Wisdom of old, spitting fire.
Love that scene with Alistaire inside Silent Easter. Effectively a, 'don't worry folks. I'm just going to go for a trip into another dimension, via the stretched eye of a Mindless One'. It's great to see him getting some page time.

Ah crap I said to myself I would stop looking at the previews, but I couldn’t help it. I am so weak willed, oh well looks so awesome.

Hands up who thinks he'll be dead/otherwise indisposed by the end of this arc. Another of the MAX Wisdom characters to fall.

You could say that, i live in Australia now, lol. Slightly different from Rise park lol
Mind you, i've lived in Ilford and walthamstow too....you know the Walthamstow Dog Track? I've lived in that road too.
But i grew up in Romford, Collier Row actually. I went to marshalls park school. hee!!
where are you? I can't beleive there's someone on here from my home town i grew up in.

I'm from the otherside of Romford on the Hornchurch border, technicly I actually live in Hornchurch now since I moved round the corner. But seeing as its 5 minute walk to Romford station or a 15 minute bus ride to Hornchurch I still consider myself Romford.
I'm actually posting this from Barking though, where I work for the council

Yeah i'd consider you Romford too. Wow I haven't been there in...geez....er.....um....well the closest i've been is Gidea Park and that was about 7 years ago.
Interesting....well it's made me smile anyway seeing as i'm half way around the world now.
tsk, tsk, Henri is black isn't he? If your gonna use a famous footballer, someone should tell the colorist.

Thierry Henry? Yes, he is. A light kind of black, but yes.
Although, at the same point if it was supposed to be Thierry Henry he would have his name spelt with a 'Y' and be wearing a blue and claret Barcelona shirt. Let's not get too pedantic, though.

Both of you appear to be missing a point here - look at the startled footballer in the middle. Have any of you ever seen a pro footballer that age? That's not them out, not yet at least - that's someone else's fantasy they are breaking in on.

Sure, but we know they're not trapped. That's something.

yeah thats one of the fantasies we saw in the beginning, theyll probably go through everyones to drain ploktas power, then someone will finish him off.

With Pete, they'll either hack their way through one fantasy after another, until they find an exit. Or else, if he figures they can't ever get out, Pete will reluctantly kill everyone who is trapped, thus denying Plotka the power source. Pete's a fun guy like that, willing to do what needs to be done, even if it is unpleasant.

Well, yes I realise that Loki. I was just pointing out how daft it was to be worried about whether or no a successful footballer was being portrayed or not.
We've seen a glimpse of that fantasy sequence before, in another room along the dream corridor. So... if they cut through into other dreamscapes it might in theory possible to cut back into the real world.
Of course that probably won't be a simple as 'Quickly! Slash three dreamscapes that way!' as the likelihood of any of these pocked dimension actually correlating directly and physically with the real world is pretty slim. They're separate closed of dimensions in their own right. God knows where they really are in any concept of physical space There's always the chance that the further you slash the more lost you could actually become - in a bit of a Quantum Leap 'always hoping that the next leap is the leap home' kind of situation.
Of course the real 100% genuine Meggan (Having fallen through that rift back in House of M - into what we only assume was nothingness, and not a pocket dimension such as one of these) could very well be alive and well in one of these somewhere...
Never say never. Just look at that cover...

Still only $2.99.

oh good point! It's entirely possible she could be alive still.

The preview art from this issue (An example of the fill in art on this issue, which would appear to be from slightly further on in the issue than we see here) which Paul Cornell put up on his Blog before Christmas would certainly suggest the possibility.

I LOVE THAT COVER!!! It's so pretty, I wanna frame it.
I'm not a fan of the fill in artist. Bit weak compared to the regular. Or is it the inks?

I'm actually quite pleased with them. Cornell's worked with Mike Collins before on Doctor Who comics. It's only a small number of fill in pages to make sure the issue goes off on time, but as we saw before he does draw a great Meggan.

Oh yes. I meant to post earlier, for those unaware already, that Paul Cornell has set up Twitter account for Captain Britain.
I kid you not.
Here it is: https://twitter.com/Captain_Britain
But what's great about the status updates on this account, of course, is that they fit very much into the world he's writing in the book.
Today's update reveals the replacement for the MI5/MI6/MI13 Joint Intelligence Committee Chairperson - Since the previous one was revealed as a Skrull and killed by Wisdom in #1. The replacement? Lance Hunter. Anybody who read the original Captain Britain series in its pre-Moore period will remember Hunter as being in charge of STRIKE (The British equivalent of SHIELD). A very logical inclusion if you ask me.

Awesome. Loved his banter with Nick Fury back in the day and I absolutely loved the arc with the Red Skull in the original Captain Britain series too.
