Welcome to X-Crescence, which is from the word excrescence, which is defined as "An outgrowth or enlargement, especially an abnormal one, such as a wart."

Well, this is an outgrowth from the X-Boards proper.

This is where you pretty much can post whatever you want.

Civility rules apply here! But you can have arguments and stuff like that - do note that arguments can and SHOULD be civil. One thing you definitely can't do is trash talk posters who are not in the thread, like, "Oh man, did you see what Poster X said? What a loser." You can talk generally about stuff, though - like, "Oh man, some posters are really getting me mad today," etc.

And I certainly hope folks follow the rules, because I'd hate to close it again.

In a way, I wish they would've remained back-ups longer. I was interested in getting a more in-depth look at them before they were chopped up into little pieces and amalgamated into a blob of bodies that comprise Xavier's mistakes.

I liked darwin in his back-up. When he saved his mother, she slapped him, he tried to kill himself. He had a lot of potential in my mind, then he just became Xavier's wannabee whipping boy.


Sway of course was fab in every issue she appeared in. Even her death was magnificent.

In that shot, we see the union of the 05 + Polaris and the Lost 4 into a ten person X-Team. All 3 Summers brothers on one squad... and then, Xavier finds out Magneto, Mystique, and Sinister and the like are out there... with their own recruits. Like Nightcrawler! Colossus! And Wolverine! And Storm! And so on...

It would be an interesting Earth. One that, that god, I didn't drop on Chris Claremont's doorstep to write badly in New Exiles. But it's more fascinating than all the Earths he had. Including the genderswapped 05, and Shiar Death Commandos O5.

Vulcan is a sociopath. It's what mkes the character fun. Xavier, Alex, Scott all trying to talk him into being more .. well sociable? Not a chance. Vulcan doesn't do redemption. He has no true concept of it because deep down he doesn't feel he is doing anything wrong because he lacks the means to distinguish between right and wrong except in the most abstract meaning of the word.

She's Claudine Renko.

According to a podcast Mike Carey did, Sinister has a bunch of clones in case he dies. I did not listen to this podcast, but Josef summarized it for me. Sinister downloads his mind into one of the new bodies whenever one of the old bodies pops off. For kicks he made a female clone. Unlike all the other clones who are basically retarded until Nathanial Essex's drops in, Claudine actually developed normally. She had a childhood. She was raised.

And given her behavior, she was raised quite poorly.
