Marvel should give both books away for free for their mistake.
...Or at least add in a collectible trading card of some kind for good measure.

Sure, that wouldn't really be hurting Marvel. That would be hurting the retailers.

I have never heard of a rich comic store owner.

Probably no more likely than the Death of Superman comic, since there's so many out there.

All comics with Dazzler on the cover are very valuable.
Even if they're horrendous pranks.

Only if the Comic Shop Owners actually return them.
The "Kike" issue of Wolverine from a few years ago, some retailers kept copies.
I don't think it's really worth all that much. But I haven't checked lately.

I don't think this would be a Marvel error, they don't print their comics anymore than DC does. The Printer is the one that made this mistake.

Depends. It IS possible that somebody at Marvel sent out the wrong mix of files to the printer. Marvel has been getting pretty lax in terms of quality control lately. While certainly less extreme than a printing goof, the number of typos that have slipped by lately is just one too many.
It's easy to blame the printer, but Marvel has pumped out so many books lately that stuff was bound to slip through the cracks sooner or later.

They print the Marvel books about an hour from where I live... and i've met two guys that work there... it seems only natural... and from meeting those two fellas... im surprised this doesn't happen more often.

Spiderman is mainstream and vanilla, Dazzler is cult and independent ergo Dazzler is better and should be on ipod advertisements.

I want a good Dazzler cover. I really do not like the one curently on the book. Just make a new monthly for Dazzler and i'll call it even. Give her back her Silver costume as well.

- Wanted to see how the Mytique/Iceman conflict ended (if it does)
- Dazzler's actual comic appearance as promised
- The current status of Avalanche
Disappointed, but then again, one source is saying I have to wait 2 weeks while another says 1.

That's because enough copies were bought before the mistake was made that they're not really rare or particularly special. I had one myself, but I junked that whole run of Wolverine a while back. (Beyond the misprint, the issue itself is entirely forgettable.)
Plus, who wants to be the guy bragging about his mint copy of a Marvel comic with a racial slur in it?

that's the book I forgot about yesterday.
I knew I wanted to pick up another bookwhen I waent to the shop, but couldn't think of the title.
Maybe I'm a reverse psychic. My mind blocks potentially disappointing events, before they happen.

I was just thinking...will the correct printing have a new cover to distinguish it from the error version? Knowing Marvel it will probably involve a monkey.

Did John Byrne's status get revoked or something?
"Sorry, John, but you ranted one time too many so your Fantastic Four is no longer considered classic. If you don't watch yourself, you'll no longer be remembered as the artist on The Dark Phoenix Saga."

I sincerely hope so. Marvel doesn't seem like the type of company to miss an opportunity to create collectibles. If the cover is, I just may keep my misprint rather than returning it next week.

And after finally getting the corrected copy I have to find out that the story penciled by Takeshi Miyazawa (http://www.marvel.com/catalog/?artist=TAKESHI%20MIYAZAWA) (which was the sole reason I even ordered the book) isn't in #5 at all. Apparently it was moved to #4 (http://www.comicsbulletin.com/reviews/122822982243588.htm), and obviously without telling anyone. I did not find any product update on this (actually there was one (http://previewsworld.com/public/default.asp?t=1&m=1&c=6&s=462&ai=76632) for #4, but not for this change) and Marvel.com still shows the incorrect information (http://www.marvel.com/catalog/?id=10631) (here's the real content (http://www.comicsbulletin.com/reviews/123125662748030.htm)).
So I was forced to buy #5 (since I explicitly preordered it), which I didn't want, and still have to hunt down #4, which I need. Thank you, Marvel. I'm a little ticked, right now.
