I've gone and done it. I've ditched Cable TV. Hooked my computer to my TV and watch what I want by downloading and mostly streaming.
So, what are suggestions for good places to watch high quality TV Shows and movies?
what I have bookmarked or know about so far.
Hulu.com
-which takes care of a lot TV requirements, all new Fox, NBC shows, a good amount of cable shows, some old stuff, some Funimation anime and a modest selection of movies- some actually decent.
CBS.com, ABC.com, other network websites.
-CBS and ABC do well at posting their shows on the day after, ABC has an annoying new video player but it's passable.
Netflix
Apart from the mailings they have a decent selection of movies available for streaming.
Adultswim.com
Narrow focus, but no one else hosts their shows as far as I know.
Youtube, Myspace Video
Mainly I just think of Youtube as a "small screen" option, haven't even tried watching youtube virals on my TV yet, I doubt they look go great. Same with Myspace. But they do have some high resolution video choices don't they? I should check those out.
Veoh.com
Haven't spent much time here, haven't had a chance to judge their video player and quality yet, but it looks like a great prospect.
Watchtvsitcoms.com
I was recommended this site, haven't tried it yet. It's suposed to feature some premium channel shows (HBO, Showtime, etc) Features "Zango" software? Don't know what that's about. Shouldn't they have sister sites? "WatchTVDramas.com" "WatchTVCartoons.com" "WatchTVReality.com" etc.?
Any other suggestions?
Maybe sites for foriegn stuff? Is there anywhere that streams British shows? Will I have to Torrent stuff like Dr. Who and The IT Crowd if I want to watch them?
