Mutant League 2009 - Draft

Welcome to the Mutant League 2009 draft thread!

The draft will begin Tuesday, January 6 at approximately 10AM EST.

Participants will be able to draft up to seven characters from the draft list. The draft order is randomly chosen, and reverses with each new round. New draft rounds begin immediately after the prior round ends. Please only post your daily draft picks in this thread. No comments/discussion! Keep that in the Trash-Talking thread (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=251770). Please refer to the Mutant League 2009 website (http://www.geocities.com/mattbib/mutantleague2009.html) for additional information.

Live Drafting
Participants are given fifteen minutes from the preceding participant's pick to post their own next pick. If a participant does not post their draft pick within their allotted fifteen minutes they may be skipped (upon my say so), and the next participant's fifteen minutes begin.

Wish List Drafting
Participants may PM their draft wish list to me before before each round if they're unsure of their availability. Wish Lists may cover specific rounds or the entire draft. List your poster name and the Draft Round, if applicable, as the subject of your PM (i.e. "mattbib Draft Round 2 wish list"). Wish lists should list characters in the order you'd like to obtain them and should include at least the number of characters equal to your position in the draft order (i.e. if you have fourteenth pick you should list fourteen charactaers). Upon completion of a round, as I receive wish lists I will post each participants' pick for the new round using the first available character from their wish list.

Participants may feel free to post their own pick, even if they've submitted a wish list, even changing from their wish list pick, if they are online and I have not posted their pick for them yet.

Getting Skipped
If I have not received a wish list from a participant, or if there are no available characters on a participant's previous wish list, that participant will be skipped.

Since draft rounds will begin immediately after the preceding round has finished, participants should send any new or revised wish lists immediately after each of their previous picks have been posted (either by themselves or by me) so as to avoid being skipped.

NOTE: As it's possible that fifteen minutes may pass without me being able to post a participant's wish list pick, we will only skip participants on my say so. Skipped participants may then post their pick for that round at any time, so long as their character has not been taken by another player.

Forfeit
Any participant who misses two draft rounds in a row, without providing their draft picks for those rounds later in the same day, will forfeit their spot in the tournament

Immediately following the final round of the draft on Wednesday, January 7, players may trade characters of same status and value with each other. In order to trade characters, both parties must Private Message (PM) me (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/private.php?do=newpm&userid=342) approving the trade. The PM must include the name of the other party and the character that they've agreed to trade. The trade goes into effect once I receive both PMs.
