If there should be a live action version of the anime series Hellsing, who should direct it?

My vote goes to Zack Snyder (300,Watchmen) .

Are there any other choices?

I vote no on Live Action Hellsing. Nothing personal but some anime's just should not get the live action treatment.

Hellsing is one of them.

I want to say Guillermo del Toro, I liked his work in Blade II and the Hellboy films.

I'd much rather see something about the crazy priest with the magic knives. He was my favorite character.

Ryuhei Kitamura.

Ah, Alexander Anderson. He was great, he could have had his own series.

But yeah, I couldn't see a live action version of Hellsing working but then I struggle to think of many animes/mangas that have worked at being made into live action. Oh, Death Note was good, especially because it had Chairman Kaga.

If I had to pick though Guillermo del Toro sounds good.

And for the fun of it Tim Burton in his Sleepy Hollow/Sweeny Todd mindset. Though that would probably mean Johnny Depp would be Alucard.

Actually Depp would probably be Walter the badass butler.

None, because I don't really care too much one way or the other.

I could see that kind of, though I'd wonder if he could pull off the very, very British nature of Walter.

I'd actually have an easier time seeing him as the Major's crazy Doktor.

Luc Besson should do it, he's the guy behind "Leon", "The Fifth Element" and "Le Femme Nikita".

Uwe Boll , the maestro director of such masterpiece classics like "Bloodrayne" and "Alone in the dark".

I believe this fan made trailer really captures the feel of what the live action Hellsing film should be like . . .

My other choice would be Guillermo Del Toro.

HUGH JACKMAN!

And be sure to get Kate Beckinsale back with her shockingly bad Transylvania "I VANT TO SUCK YOUR BLOOOD" accent.

Hell yeah!!!!!!!!!

Thank the gods that someone in here actually watches films that aren't in English?

Honestly, Zack Snyder? Guillermo Del Toro? Hugh Jackman? Johnny Depp?
People need to move beyond the megaplex and see what else is out there.

My other choice would be Guillermo Del Toro.

I'm sure he can squeeze it in with the other 100 movies he's set to do.

Now try to pick a serious answer. Unless you really want the movie to fail, you cant pick a better director?

I honestly don't have any desire to see an artsy fartsy Hellsing. And Godzilla: Final Wars was sweet!

I know I'm not.
But I'm not so sure the poster was joking.
I mean, I can see someone thinking, "Hey, fantasy character with floppy hat fights vampires! Jackman's a LOCK!"

Ryuhei Kitamura.

That's who I thought of straight away (actually I thought whoever directed Versus, which turned out to be Kitamura).
