Does anyone know which version of this book Amazon is shipping? Will I get the good cover, or the god awful "BY JOSS WHEDON" cover?

You'll get the giant Joss Whedon font cover, because Amazon isn't the direct market.

Direct market, ie comic shops, get the "good covers" on things like these, whereas book stores and whatnot get the giant author font covers.
