i don’t think its been confirmed if he is or he isn’t
but i'm guessing he is as he wouldnt be bringing much to the table for the team if he didn’t have his powers!

He was a pretty good martial artist, so he wouldn't be completely useless. Though how much of it was his actual ability and how much was his telepathy was never really established.

Let's see - Mr X was one of wolverine's foe. Nuke got cut so badly by wolverine hence why he has to wear that hockey mask. Who else is there ? Does all of them have a wolverine connection ? Maybe this new thunderbolts is the wolverine revenge squad.

Black Widow (Yelena Belova), Paladin, Ant-Man (Eric O'Grady), the Ghost and the Headsman. Not a whole lot of Wolverine connections. Plus, although Nuke is connected to Wolvie, he was originally a Daredevil villain, and is still equally connected to Captain America through the Super Soldier projects. Ghost is an Iron Man villain, Headsman, who is connected to Osborn, and is a Spidey villain, and Paladin and Black Widow are mercenary/spy types without being really any one character's foil/supporting character. Yelena/Black Widow was created as a solo character using a previously established Marvel franchise as a legacy/connection, as was Eric/Ant-Man.

he used his telepathy to anticipate his attackers moves( Taskmaster could touch him) and to watch them die

well actually Eric's origin basically springs out of the Wolverine Enemy of the State storyline. Eric was guarding the door to Pym's lab because the SHIELD security officers were needed to be prepared for a brainwashed Wolverine. Hydra attacked soon after; leading to the death of Eric's friend Chris (who was wearing the Ant-Man armor). and Wolverine's the one who gave Eric the 'atta-boy' when he somewhat saved Nick Fury. doesn't really apply to what the other poster was saying but there is a connection. i'm pretty sure that Norman picked these folks because of their lack of connections to the rest of the Marvel Universe. none of them have regular associates, besides Paladin. Yelena is believed to be dead. Headsman, Ghost, and Mister X are all off-the-grid ciphers.

he was an accomplished killer before that. he started traveling the world to learn from the martial arts masters because he had become bored. this guy would be a threat w/o his telepathy; if not as unbeatable a hand-to-hand combatant.

Very true. Telepathy doesn't teach you how to throw a punch, after all. But if he relied on it completely for his defense...

Also, he wasn't much of a martial artist before his telepathy. It was his telepathy emerging that started his obsession with death, IIRC .
