Hey guys. I'm confused. Will someone please explain what the heck is going on with The Flash?

According to DC's solicits website, there are no issues slated to appear after issue 247 of the current series of The Flash. It just stops at December, and the site has DC's releases fully delineated all the way into March 2009.

Now, I know about Flash: Rebirth, but that's not supposed to come out until 2009, if I'm not mistaken. Will it immediately begin in January? It sure doesn't look like it. I'm just wondering if anyone else happens to know what the deal is with the future of The Flash title?

Flash #247 is the last issue of the current series, and comes out next week.

The six-issue Flash: Rebirth miniseries by Geoff Johns and Ethan Van Sciver launches in April 2009.

A new Flash series will follow Rebirth, though DC hasn't announced a creative team or a firm launch date. Or a star, though the safe money is on Barry Allen. Geoff Johns is heavily rumored to be sticking around, though.

Glad to help! Believe it or not, the timing was pure luck. I'd been away from the forums for something like a week and dropped in to catch up right after you'd posted.
