According to Marvel, which Galactic empire is the biggest?

I seem to remember the Shi'ar being listed as the biggest.

I'm just curious as to who will have the biggest advantage in the upcoming War of Kings; I mean, I know the Skrull and Kree are diminished from their roles in Annihilation (though the Kree now have the Inhumans on their side); I also know the Badoon are on the come-up from their role in the Guardians of the Galaxy comics, and I know that traditionally, Shi'ar are the rulers. I was just wondering what the current situation is.

At the moment, either the Shi'ar or the Annihilation Wave. The Wave should own more real estate (former Skrull, Xandarian, and Kree territory), but the Shi'ar should have the edge in population. And the Shi'ar are currently expanding their borders.

The Kree lost half their empire to the Wave and were further mangled by the Phalanx, the Skrulls and the Xandarians are dead meat thanks to the Wave, and the Badoon barely own a third of the Milky Way.

Oh yeah...I forgot about Ravenous and his lot. Good answer; the Badoon apparently have the potential to be a major threat though, no?

Yeah, but w/ all the nonsense Bendis has going on on Earth, I doubt they're a viable threat to anyone else. That said, the Kree/ Inhuman alliance IS an example of a force that's reduced in size, yet still remains a credible threat. I think the Skrulls are done for, for now.

I think is the Shi'ar Empire, because the skrulls are out of the game, the Kree are wounded, even with Ronan as the ruler they are gaining power, the Wave is kinda inactive at the moment, also the Badoon. Let's see what happen with War of Kings, maybe the Kree could arise as the new big power in the cosmos.

The Kree were the largest I believe and then the Shi'ar absorbed the Kree empire into their own after OP: GS I believe it was. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Since Operation Galactic Storm it would be the Shi'ar.

I think it would be the Shi'ar. Vulcan is expanding the empire and gaining more territory. The skrulls have been decimated by the wave, and had their fleet taken out by earth somehow. The kree are trying to gain ground again by making alliances. But in the end, it goes to the Shi'ar, for now.

Imagine if there was just a Marvel cosmic ongoing monthly that always stays around, encompassing everything cosmic Marvel...and all these possibilities are and arcs are explored with rotating characters and such.

Well it would either be the Shi'ar empire or the Annihilation (Ravenous) Wave. The Kree lost 80-90% of their people (and subsequent territory) after Operation Galactic Storm. The Skrulls were in shambles after Galactus destroyed its throne world, and then got oblitereated by the Annihilation wave, which i think took something like 80% of skrull territory and kree territory (a statistic was given in annihilation #6).

Im not too sure whats happened recently with the Shiar empire though (i havent read the rise and fall of the shiar empire x-men books yet), and the Badoon hardly ever seem to be mentioned....
