Which "dead or lost" characters came back in Final Crisis?

We have seen a lot of characters in this mini-series. Who have you seen? What issue? Who are you expecting to come back?

Libra after decades of absence.
The obvious and happy return of Barry Allen, The Flash.

And Tempest is back in FC#5. Kickass.

Sparx, in issue #1. Until very recently, I had no clue that she had any history outside of her first experience, so I can't really speak to the last time she was seen. But it was nice to see that the character still exists. I liked her.

I supposed it meant Conner Kent, who is it then? I'm as baffled as you are.

Conner is heavily hinted to be the new Nightwing in the New Krypton arc in the Superman books. But that is unconnected to Final Crisis.

I think some posters may have read the question of the OP as "Which lost/dead characters would you want to come back in Final Crisis?"

I seem to recall flipping thru the book when it first came out and saw a figure which bore his sun logo and possibly his staff. Though there may've been some mystery as to who that really was (I don't think "Highfather" was printed along side, but it looked like a new Highfather)

Anyway, I found a copy today: on the page with Orion's designs, there's an pencilled & unnamed character in the bottom right hand corner. Has robes, a tall staff and Highfather's sun (symbol of light) logo...

my bad. yep i just saw it. definitely a father-figure of sorts. Highfather I don't know but someone has to reclaim that mantle. without a father figure, i guess the new gods wouldn't make sense. it is heavily embedded in their idiosyncracy.
