Changs to the Sliver Covers

Has anyone else noticed the changes to the sliver covers? They started off as a bright red now they are getting darker and white spots are appearing on the cover. This isn't limited to the main series either, it is also happening with the tie-ins as well.

Yup. It became pretty apparent during the last couple of issues after Darkseid took over. It's a really cool detail.

It's not just the Sliver covers- the letters are decaying on the character covers as well.

When I got my copy of FINAL CRISIS #4, I was wondering if maybe I got a messed up cover.

When I saw that other #4 covers, as well as covers since then, were the same......I started to get it. :wink:

Yeah I remember reading an interview with Chip Kidd before the first issue came out and he said that he was trying something subtle and different with the sliver covers. It's pretty cool.
