This is something I did in about twenty minutes this morning. I dumped the headband and the fringe and the mask and gave him sunglasses.

Ohhhhhh, Matt, yours looks a bit scary.
He's doing a sort of zombie-walk. Have you been trading the Fire-Water again?
Maybe if you put in his eye pupils?
I think that's what's going to be keeping me awake.
What do you use to do these sketches?
With Paintbox I can't get NEAR what you're doing!
And everyone's updating and changing hair and costume, which in this case is a GOOD THING.
Mine's coming along shortly.
He just needs totaly re-drawn from scratch, as he looks like he's on his way to a Village People concert....
If I can find the courage I'll take it to the other room to be scanned......
(I can hear them already...So THAT'S what he does all day instead of working.)

I think that's what's going to be keeping me awake.But...Thunderbird never had visible pupils. :(
What do you use to do these sketches?
With Paintbox I can't get NEAR what you're doing!I draw mine in pencil. Then I ink the edges as best I can. Then I scan the image and open it in Photoshop. Then I select the edges and fill with black. Then I do the coloring. I usually find an apporopriate image online that I'll distort and set as a background layer.

Oops!
I checked, and guess what!
You're RIGHT!

Hey, everyone. Here's a Thunderbird drawing I just knocked out a few minutes ago. I really dig these threads!
By the way, I think Thunderbird can look really cool with pupils, so mine has 'em.

wow two more impressive pieces of art since I last looked at this one. Very nice JohnJett. Perfect scowl to fit the character, and I rerally love how bib adds the backgrounds. It just makes the pictures that much more striking to me! Good Job all around! :)

Thanks, Matt. I did a drawing for the Beast thread as well and if I get the time I'd like to draw Cycolps, too.
I always thought Thunderbird had one of the coolest costumes around. Rob Liefeld had a good idea bringing it back for Warpath during the early X-Force days.

I don't think I've ever noticed there's a Thunderbird DMAX!
I really like how you did those feathers, Tre, and I love the flow of his hair, great stuff. I'm totally jealous, I'd never be able to do that in Paint!

here's everyone's favorite dead x-man!
the drawing is inspired from some x-men comic that came out in the in '98 or '99 with T-bird, some other dead dudes like Captain Marvel, and
Shadowcat on the cover

i forgot this page was for both Proudstars (ha...sorta like Finch did on the 200 cover)...
@ YIP: i like it! that reminds me of that time Tbird appeared in Spiderman & his Amazing Friends (did you catch that episode)!!
it was super neat-o, & felt completly random to see the line up used in that episode (esp. Tbird, since his comic claime to fame is the DOA X-Man) & they even changed Tbird's powers...but mostly i remember the solid, stern, "manly" voice they gave him in the show. The episode plot was bonkers too (& a little trippy), but it's worth a look. Your piece just brought back some of those memories for me
