View Full Version : DCU Event Reading.....Does DC account for this?

If one were to create a time line of all the important events within the DCU in recent history what would that list look like? Say working from Final Crisis and going backward?

By that I mean events that have an impact on the DCU even if it's only temporary (say things go back to the status quo afterward) but doesn't really focus on any particular character. What I'm looking to do is to try and see if one can simply event read without following any particular title but do so in their proper order and continue to do so into the future.

Do you think it can be done? Could one not be lost if they simply accept that characters might have gone through some changes between events (decide if they want to or don't want to read up on those events)?

Do think DC has accounted for this type action? Where one just goes from DCU event to event without really reading single character titles.

Of course this would all be done via trades collections.

Thanks.

I'd have thought you could reasonably happily go from CoIE to Identity Crisis.

Infinite Crisis had 4 lead-in miniseries, OMAC Project, Villains United, Day of Vengeance and The Rann/Thanagar War which are mainly stories that set up an ongoing/mini to pick up after infinite Crisis so they're probably worth picking up, but not essential for Infinite Crisis.

That's as far as I've got so far so I couldn't say after that.
