If Dan DiDio, who has received a lot of flack the past couple weeks, wants to reassure the masses he absolutely has to come up big on his replacement team for Johns/Eaglesham. So many times you see DC books that are headed by Johns go in the crapper bc it's filled with some mid-tier writer. We hear about how excited they are and love the characters yadda yadda but that doesn't equal good storytelling and well planned out, plotted arcs. It doesn't equal solid art. DiDio needs to ensure he gets BOTH roles filled with top quality. Suggestions?

Someone nailed it over in the other thread: James Robinson and Cliff Chiang.

James Robinson and (insert name of any "classic" dc artist here).
Realy, Robinson's appointment as writer is the only way to gaurentee that I'll stay with the book.

Turned out to be a bunch of smoke. The revised LITG version is that Robinson and Didio got into a personal argument, then settled it later.

JMS would be my top choice, followed by Waid or Busiek. I'm fine with whoever on art as long as it isnt complete crap. Chiang would indeed be awesome. Or Pacheco, but he's so stinkin' slow....
Really though, I love these characters, so no matter who it is I'll at least give it a try. I dont get all these people who say they're leaving with Johns. Its like declaring your dinner tastes like crap before you're even shown the menu.

I would have utter faith in JMS who demonstrated his talent with the Twelve (this series with its focus on the changes between the 40s and now is trial run for JSA)

Oh no. Zzzzz
Consider this one el dropola if she works her WW magic on the JSA.
Personally, I wouldn't mind JMS except that it would take him away from the much-more enjoyable Thor. And Busiek and/or Waid excite me about as much as a bran muffin in the morning.

Geoff Johns and Jim Lee if DC wants it to sell.

Hopefully now Geoff Johns can take over JSA, after the predictable mess it's become since Meltzer left. The perfect team in my opinion would be Alex Ross/Darwyn Cooke, but seeing as that's unlikely, I would go with Kurt Busiek/George Perez.

I think you mean JLA...because Johns would basically be replacing himself on JSA. The only person who could pull off replacing themselves though is Geoff Johns

Roy Thomas and Jerry Ordway... but I'm an sentimental old fool (but what's JSA except a book for sentimental old fools?)
