Batman: Year 100

Just read it. Loved it. However, i have a couple questions that were either answered or not answered. This could be spoiler territory so reader beware.

How has Bruce not aged? Who is this Robin? Just a new kid? Were these questions answered in it and I just read it too quickly?

I'll be rereading this soon enough, fo sho.

It's not Bruce Wayne. At least, not so far as I could figure. When that telepath is trying to probe Batman, it appears as though he's almost saying "Dick Grayson." Which still doesn't make much sense, given the timeline.

I've only read it once but it got me hooked more then most do the first time. I'm sitting at school now, editing a movie and i read the whole thing just waiting for my DVD to burn.

Its a great future Batman book that accompanies TDKR really well. I just assumed that it was Bruce Wayne and that this was an elseworlds story in everything but name.

The Jim Gordon in here is the grandson of the original James Gordon.

I avoided this for a while because of the art, but I said what the heck, lemme try it. Its excellent. And the art won me over.

It takes place in 2039.

Absolutely amazing. Was an early holiday gift to me along with the Paul Pope Black & White statue. I was impressed, really enjoyed the story, and will say that the depiction of that Batman may be one of my favorite, maybe as good as Year One and TLH. This batman bleeds, he pants when he is out of breath, he eats, he sleeps. This is the ultimate "mortal" Batman story. Can't say enough good things.

I really want to know who Batman is though. I guess he's just someone who took up the mantle huh? You think he's in any way a relative of good ol' Bruce?

It wasn't bad. I have tried to several things by Paul Pope, and he just doesn't do it for me. I couldn't finish 100 %, it just didn't grab my attention. I guess Pope is simply one of those "cool artists" I just don't get. And I can live with that.

I heard about that in a list of greatest Batman graphic novels on IGN. It sounds very interesting but I have never seen it in stores. I may look on eBay

this is as close to 'moving images' as I've ever seen on the pages of a comic. it's like watching Aeon Flux if she wore fake vampire teeth and ill-fitting clothes. I love the way his little wrists poke out.

The story pissed me RIGHT OFF when I first read it but after a second or third go I decided I would buy every Paul Pope comic that ever comes within my reach

It's not Bruce, it's not Robin, this Batman has no identitiy, we will never know it.
