Demon 15

I was going to submit this to the My Own Worst Enemy thread, but noticed a major blooper on this cover.

Apparently some lettering fell off the cover before printing. It was probably supposed to be in color and the overlay got lost.

Anyway, just wondering if every copy is like this and does anyone know the story on it?

For whatever it's worth, both my original and current copies of Demon #15 are missing the same patch of copy.

ISTR hearing that this is/was the case.

The GCD shows a copy in exactly the same state as ROK's.

Original = the copy I bought off the stands back in '72.
Current = the copy sitting in a short box in the fabled Cei-U! Comics Vault right now.
Explanation = mundane trivia.

...the arrow was supposed to say "Introducing Firebrand." They printed a corrected callout on a letters page.

Then there's the time they printed the cover to Wasteland #6 on #5, so they sent out a version of #6 with a blank cover (not on the GCD, but at Mike's amazing world: http://www.dcindexes.com/gallery/browse.php?select=!dc/!other/wasteland )

What do you mean? It's missing the same copy?

Ah... I thought at first ROK was referring to the truncated copy on the right side of the cover. Its cut off in the Mile High post ROK includes, but normal in the GCD version. Of course we are talking about Witchboy's speech balloon. Apologies.
