It was one crazy guy. There was no magic bullet, people that claim there was are either uninformed about the car and the seating within the car or want to sell you something.

I don't know if there was a conspiracy or not, but haing stood by the window where Oswald is supposed to have fired from, I can't see how he possibly could have missed.

The "magic bullet" story is based on a misunderstanding and/or distortion of the scenario. As Phrozen noted, the seating is a key issue that leads to false assumptions. Connally wasn't seated directly in front of Kennedy and at the same height. Rather Kennedy's seat was higher and off to the right.

There was a group of experts who simulated the shooting; there results aired as a series of TV programs. They used ballistics gels and materials that simulated the physical property of the body and the relevant bones. They placed the bodies in the correct positions. With just one shot, they almost exactly duplicated the supposed magic bullet. The only discrepancy was the last step - the bullet did not penetrate Connally's thigh at the end of its flight. Apparently, that may have been corrected if the bullet hit bone a little less directly and therefore had a bit more speed remaining.

And as mentioned, it only hit 2 people - not 4.
