I'm hoping to be corrected, but somehow something tells me I'm right and dropping that comic service is a good thing to do.
First thing's firs... I'm going to be as straightforward as I can. Overall, the Secret Invasion was weak, boring and it's ending just too goody-goody. But that's not the point. Look at the averege reviews of the final issue - the're not good.
IGN did launch a big support for the Dark Reign on their comic site with only one mention of any dc universe thing [RIP], just take a look: http://comics.ign.com/.
Dark Reign is going to rock. Dark Reign video, Dark Reign interview, Dark Reign, Dark Reign, Dark Reign...
No feature for reviews this week. Coinsidence? Maybe the just had some tought time and just slipped the dead line this time? Yeah... So WTH is their review is ONLINE but just not featured as the usually do? (http://comics.ign.com/articles/934/934333p1.html). The sell out isn't even subtile, as all you have to do is look at the characters in the background of the layout of the site. All marvel. Just another version of Marvel.com, if you ask me... Shame.

it's win-win for them. Marvel gets some advertising out there, and IGN gets exclusive content. They do it with everything on the site. It's not Marvel's or IGN's fault that DC is a little slow on the take
Maybe if Final Crisis actually came out on time IGN would have something to work with, hmmm

Ok... I do get the fact they get the extra content that way. That's fine. I'm not a deluded idealist. But hiding the reviews in order not to "shadow" the glorious arrival of Dark Reign? That's just plain manipulation.
p.s.
I'm not a huge DC fan, either so none of my comments by any means are fulled by the "all that's marvel sucks all that's DC rules".

what hiding? that's silly. Reviews are highlighted on Thursday. but now they actually have something more interesting than the same old thing.

DC is the wrong forum then... wrong website too. IGN has their own comics board you know. I'm sure they could tell you themselves.

They've "sold out" by covering the company with interesting books. Look at my pull list. I clearly think one company is producing much better stuff then the other.

This is a pretty silly position, but if it is going to happen, it might as well take place on the Community Forum and not the DC Universe board.

I remember being an IGN member for a year at their forums in 2002. But they started charging for them (FUCK THAT) and I said nope. I came to CBR. With a bunch of others....

I was about to say "so did Wizard", but that might either be far too obvious, or I'm stretching a bit.

So IGN is a video game website then.
It's more of a multi-media site.
