TFAW.com nick & dent - how bad are they?

Has anyone purchased some of the 'nick & dent' specials?
In how bad of shape are they?

It varies. Some I have got seem perfect. The worst I got was a Deadly Genesis trade with a boxcutter slice through the cover and last couple pages. You could still read it though. My New Avengers vol. 1 hardcover came with a similiar boxcutter slice in the book jacket. If you want readable it should be fine.

It depends, I bought a few nick and dent books from TFAW the last time I was at Comic-con. Some of them were almost pristine except for one small bend in the cover, or a little bit dog eared (no more so than any repeatedly read book will become in a few years anyway). But because I was able to see the books in person, I picked the ones in the best condition.

Other books had small, but easily repairable tears, or cracked spines, etc.
